Also, what are some good noise bands? Scratch Acid is one I've been meaning to get into.
My brother just spent 70 dollars on a This Heat boxset last week. He says it's great.

Kayetan 01-21-2007 01:56 PM

It's tough these days to discern who is a gimmick and who isn't.

bleep_bloop 01-21-2007 01:59 PM

Boilermaker 01-21-2007 02:00 PM

Goo is mediocre except for Mote, Dirty Boots, Kool Thing and Titanium Expose which are totally

Kayetan 01-21-2007 02:00 PM

I don't follow.

bleep_bloop 01-21-2007 02:01 PM

i still think confusion is sex is one of their best

Neoteric 01-21-2007 02:05 PM
Goo is mediocre except for Mote, Dirty Boots, Kool Thing and Titanium Expose which are totally
what about Tunic (Song For Karen)? That's probably my favourite song off that record

The Great Decay 01-21-2007 02:09 PM

I'm finally getting around to checking out Bad Moon Rising.

YDload 01-21-2007 02:39 PM

ok i went to the CD Cellar in Arlington (haha i get it, CD Seller = CD Cellar!)

i got Pleased to Meet Me for six bucks and Fugazi's Repeater + 3 Songs for like ten. not a bad haul but i think they could have had more albums

best early period sonic youth album

Neoteric 01-21-2007 02:52 PM

Bad Moon Rising is good.

can't beat a bit of Death Valley '69 :)

AlienEater 01-21-2007 03:26 PM

I like Death Valley least. The rest flow so well but it kinda sticks out. Still, good song.

edit: I changed my mind

Electrocution 01-21-2007 03:26 PM

i am dressed like a lumberjack.

Zmev 01-21-2007 03:39 PM

ITS GONNA BE A LONG NIGHT
ITS GONNA BE A CATFIGHT
ITS GONNA BE A GANG BANG
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

<3

ATM 01-21-2007 04:03 PM

That's my favorite song on the album.

Zmev 01-21-2007 04:09 PM

Either that or The Argus or Chocolate Town.

Rabbi 01-21-2007 04:18 PM

I'm usually not in to bands like Sonic Youth, I like more acoustic/jangly stuff. But I like Goo, and I think it's the only CD I own by them.
