ScorpSath 08-27-2004 11:04 PM
Yeah thats a classic movie. i love it. "this one goes to eleven"

Top of the line Boss multieffects pedal, with amp modeler and XLR out.

Supposed to be a wonderful pedal, though it lacks a great Synth thing, and I've heard somewhere that Boss just threw on the Guitar wah from the GT-6, hoping people wouldn't notice.

Well Ill probably just get the BP200 anyway.

Thanks guys.

Hey guys I got into a discussion with my dad (also plays bass) and we both thought differently about strings. (I'm so confused right now I dont remeber what I originally thought) But anyway, we argued over whether those smooth strings(usually on a fretless) are roundwounds or flatwounds(I think I thought yes I'm not sure). So could someone please tell me what the difference between flatwounds and roundwounds are.

(pardon my overuse of parenthesis)

Noushi 08-27-2004 11:18 PM

The fretless usually has flatwounds. And the difference is just what it sounds like, I believe. Flat wounds have a flat surface and roundwounds are round.

Bass+Fingers+Amp=Groove 08-27-2004 11:32 PM
whats that?
a really really nice effect board. like the BP200 on steroids, it cost more than twice as much. :D

yo yo, anyone here have a band with recordings?

e p 08-27-2004 11:51 PM

Somewhat,yes.

But also no. I understand the materials that make them now but Im talking about the texture. Are roundwounds the nice smooth kind or the kinds that are rough and "wound" around the core making it appear rough?

Noushi 08-27-2004 11:56 PM

Roundwounds are wrapped with a round wire, making them appear rough.

Actually they weren't a real band but due to the sucsess of the movie they became a real band. Im sure they put out an album, and i've seen them live on tv a couple of times.

JoeDaddio 08-28-2004 12:55 AM

Now how do you get beans inside them?

Do you put them into a giant meatwad and roll them?
or possibly inject them into the core of the meat?
