Lead Guitar Wanted!!!

Im looking for a lead guitarist near Poughkeepsie, NY for a band. Were planning to sound hradcore emo, with screaming here and there; like Sense Fail. I already have a back-up guitar, drums, and bass. We're all fourteen. Email me at noland6630@msn.com if you want to reply.

Iai 01-04-2005 05:41 PM

What's with all the noobs invading our thread today?

they can smell the blood coming out of your avatar's nose. like little emotionally-aware sharks they come to heal your wounds.

except the sharks don't normally heal wounds.

Or a better question: What would a lead guitarist be doing in a "hardcore emo" band made up of 14-year-olds? Stand closer to the singer?

morrissey 01-04-2005 05:48 PM

Wrong Thread. Email me at gototheclassifiedssection@ok.com

And what the hell is a 'back-up' guitarist? As a dedicated rhythm guitarist I feel undervalued.

Granted that he humps his leg while he plays his guitar.

What else would he be doing

Iai 01-04-2005 05:52 PM

So anyway, I'm gonna pitch my coursework idea to my Music tech teacher tomorrow. It's a trip-hop version of There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out. Ya dig?

(I'm also doing a post-rock version of a Van Morrison song for Music. :) )

theredwonder 01-04-2005 05:58 PM
It's a trip-hop version of There Is A Light And It Never Goes Out. Ya dig?
/is listening to the smiths now

not sure that i'm gona dig that. depends how well you pull it off.

Scott Herren 01-04-2005 06:02 PM

Iai, have you heard Erlend Oye's version of "There is a Light that Never Goes Out"? It's pretty good.

Iai 01-04-2005 06:05 PM

Is it called The Light 3000? I remember seeing an electro-ish version of it on 120 Minutes with that name, which I quite enjoyed.

morrissey 01-04-2005 06:07 PM

I bought a Smiths cover CD last week, (How Soon is Now? The Songs of the Smiths by...). There are some excellent tracks, but I prefer the Smiths versions 100%. Interesting to hear though.

sweboy 01-04-2005 06:08 PM

I've recieved no rep for my mindblowing new user title? I am truely dissapointed. What's the point of life when even a title like this doesn't bring me the rep points?
