The guitarist. The album was called Magic Box.

I'm gonna change avatar, this is way too confusing.

Little Man being Erased 03-29-2005 04:48 PM

I'm diggin' some white boy rap at the moment. Eminem and The Streets.

Iai 03-29-2005 04:49 PM

And look who appears just at the right time....

Little Man being Erased 03-29-2005 04:56 PM

br3ad_man 03-29-2005 06:31 PM

Digging the new albums from Fantomas and Alec Empire. I've only just started the new Fantomas but its cool.

Luxor 03-29-2005 07:48 PM

Bought Endtroducing today, HMV had it at an awesome price... Such a great album.

Swami 03-29-2005 08:19 PM

The Detachment Kit.

These guys are quite cool.

I'm kinda surprised you like them, I never was very interested in their output.

Happymeal 03-29-2005 08:58 PM

Kayo Dot still, in addition to

No Knife - Fire in the City of Automatons
Basement Jaxx - Remedy
Xenogears OST

Doctor D. 03-29-2005 09:01 PM

Found a copy of The Residents - "Animal Lover" floating around the internet. I snatched it up...and woah. Thats just judging by the first two songs.
Xenogears OST
I liked that game, don't remember the soundtrack though.

Happymeal 03-29-2005 09:13 PM

It's my favorite RPG, and Square's best story methinks. The soundtrack's not as engaging as Chrono Cross', but it brings back a lot of memories. Ah nostalgia.

Ornery Cephalopod 03-29-2005 09:32 PM

I sadly haven't played Xenogears yet. But I must say, Xenosaga was the most overrated hunk of game I've ever played.

I'm spinning Superunknown by Soundgarden, I always forget how much I dig them. So much better than the other "grunge" peeps they get grouped with (even though I do like some of those peeps).

Why Didn't someone tell me how good Beck's Odelay is?

br3ad_man 03-30-2005 08:04 PM

I think a few people probably have.

The new Decemberists album is wicked, I'm loving it right now thanks to Tangy/Swami. I'm also liking Elbow's latest album.

I did, but my musical taste is not to be trusted.

Bartender 03-30-2005 08:22 PM

I've been listening through my lastest haul for most of today. Best of the bunch;

Talking Heads - Fear of Music
Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues
Elvis Costello - This Year's Model
Leftover Crack - Fuck World Trade

Haven't yet listened to Guero, though.

Listen to it and tell me if it's worth buying. I heard bits of it in a record store last week and thought it sounded pretty good.

UltimaTap 03-30-2005 08:43 PM

I've been listening to A Minor Forest and stuff like Cap'n Jazz, Joan of Arc, American Football, and June of 44.

Smackers 03-30-2005 08:45 PM

Estradasphere.

Bartender 03-30-2005 09:06 PM

^Great album. Some of the songs (like Girlfriend Clothes) are so good to hear played live, mostly since I've not heard them live in person before. I'm not sure if it's the best live record they've done, though.

Going from the intro and first verse of the first track; it is, very much so. I'll get back to you tomorrow with a more detailed take on it, though.

Happymeal 03-30-2005 09:07 PM

Polvo - Today's Active Lifestyles
The Decemberists - Picaresque
Agalloch - The Mantle
Choking Victim > Leftover Crack.
