I found the bootleg on one of the download blogs. I forget which one, I only have the one album.

4.5, bitch.

robo2448 02-23-2006 05:16 PM

I just bought The Very Best of Canned Heat and Red Hot Chili Peppers- Mother's Milk. The Canned Heat is awesome. These guys own. Haven't listened to the RHCP yet.

I saw Medeski, Martin, and Wood last night in Danbury, CT. It was pretty sweet. It was in a tiny venue, kind of like a small bar, but there was no age restrictions. I was about 5 feet from the stage. They're nuts. Medeski is up there with Emerson or Winwood in terms of organ playing. And Martin is a pretty interesting drummer to watch, he uses so many wierd percussion stuff that I won't even try to describe. And Wood plays an upright bass:cool: and keeps it all together.

np: Canned Heat- Rockin' With the King

I have around a 90 average.

It's called Honors classes.

JonG 02-23-2006 05:20 PM

Here, to get a 4.5 you take all AP classes, and ace them all.

jpj 02-23-2006 05:22 PM
It's called Honors classes.
I have all honors classes, but grades aren't weighted here so someone with all honors and AP classes would have the same average as someone who takes foods and basket weaving. Assuming their actual grades were the same of course.

That sucks, man. Here an A=4.0 and an H=5.0.

TheDMV 02-23-2006 06:24 PM

In my school, it's possible to get a 5.0. Right now, I have just overt a 4, so not bad. If I was a harder worker I could be doing much better.

Gay. I hate when people complain about like having a 4.1, because they want to get a 4.3 or something. It's like, a 4.1 and decent extracurriculars can get you in to any university you want. I love how most of the smart kids are in band though and it brings down there GPA just because they have to play there stupid trumpet.

BigTrav415 02-23-2006 06:30 PM

A little late, but whatever. The only reason I've ever really had a desire to smoke was because it's considered so bad now. If everyone was doing I'd hate it.

Rebellion FTW

I'm not really sure what my grades are. I used to make all high A's in elementary and 6th grade, then in 7th I stopped doing my homeowrk and I got a B in Algebra. I actually wasn't too torn up or anything, and I'm really glad I did, because now I'm not worried about my grades. Which is probably bad, because I could be making all high A's if I wanted to, but I can't make myself motivated. My average grade in all my classes is probably a 94, I make mostly low-to-mid A's, and usually one B and one or two high A's. It's mostly because I hate doing homeowrk and therefore don't until the day it's due, me and my friend have got the system downpat, but sometimes we get in over our heads and can't finish it all :-/ But I managed to turn in the rough draft of my paper that was due Monday today. And I did 70% of it 2 hurs before class. I'm good like that.

I listened to a lot of Pink Floyd today. I'd forgotten how awesome SOYCD VI-IX is. King Of The Hill is on :)

MBS 02-23-2006 06:34 PM

I'm an okay student. B's and A's mostly. No honors classes yet.

/is taking AP US, AP Music Theory, and English 3 Honors next year

/dies

AP US is going on a reccomendation. My teacher says I belong in AP classes, but I'm too lazy. In actuality, I had lost my book for half of the first semester, so I didn't get a lot of bookwork done. My English 3 Honors class, however, I'm getting in because I'm getting A's in that class.

My schedule next year will look like this:

Jazz Band
English 3 Honors
AP US
AP Music Theory
Physics
Algebra 2/Trig
That's not the only catch if it's anything like Incense and Peppermints....seriously though Incense and Peppermints was amazingly horrible and is quite possibly the worst psychedelic album I've ever heard. That's saying a-lot too I mean I am no stranger to Anthem of the Sun
Then they're probably not too much alike. I know there was a major line-up change between Incense and Wake Up. I've heard most of Wake Up and it's really solid, man, but I've never heard Incense and Peppermints. So I think Wake Up should be better.

Oh, and toke up once for me, I got caught so I have to quit at least until I move out.

BTW, what's Anthem of the Sun?

You don't really understand though. If schools see grades on the borderline of great/good, but missing homeworks, it sends a message of laziness. I could and should be getting at least a little higher.

My scedg:

Sem Alg II
Sem Western World
Hon Eng 10
Hon Chem
Marketing
Hon Italian 3
Health/ PE

Seminars are basically the highest courses you can take at my age. For Italian Honors is the highest though.

AotS is pretty inconsistent, but I enjoy it.

A GD album, one of their most psychedelic.

I wasn't referencing you in particular. But seriously, anything above a 4 means all As and Bs in Honors/AP classes, which senior year are college courses. I got into two top national universities with a 2.4, so believe you will have plenty of options.

btw schedules i guess?:

Business Management
Global Affairs
Economics
English 12
College Algebra/Trig
Photo
Physics

jpj 02-23-2006 06:46 PM

Anthem of the Sun is awesome. Yep.

First semester I had BCA I (Business Computer Applications), Driver's Ed., Health, and HR Ancient World History. This semester I have Gym, HR Science 10 (we mostly do biology), HR Algebra II, and HR English 10.

Jacaranda 02-23-2006 06:51 PM

Does anyone in here live in the northwest, and not Canada? Just wondering cause I think I'm going to go to Sasquatch and was wondering if anyone else from here is going. Meh... http://www.hob.com/tickets/festivals/sasquatch/2006/

I have an easy schedule because I don't apply myself today is the first day I've had homework since Christmas time, I don't plan on doing it either, its due tomorrow. My favorite class is Gym probably, sucks I can only take 2 years unless I wanna be with a bunch of 10th graders when I'm in 11th.

robo2448 02-23-2006 06:54 PM

My schedule:

Honors Physics
Gym
Honors English
Popular Music in America
Latin IV Honors
Spanish I
Lunch
Math Precalculus
AP US History

AP US is such a bitch. I have 50 pages of notes to take by Monday that I should start next time. Next year I'm taking 4 AP classes which is going to suck.

I like AotS for the most part. But it's got nothing on Aoxomoxoa.

Canned Heat is awesome.

What year are you? I took AP US sophomore year and yes it sucked. It took all the fun out the class, and I really enjoy history, and I wish I took regular.
No. :)
Yes? Yes.

There's this kid in my gym class that makes me think of you. He looks exactly like Syd Barrett. The resemblance is seriously creepy. He never changes, and always looks completely out of it. He just sits in the corner and stares off into the distance like he's lost one too many brain cells.

And the Erkin Koray studio album is very good, the vocals are all in Turkish which gives it a cool ethnic feel. It's not as electric as the bootleg, if that makes any sense.

I know a guy that looks exactly like Jimmy Page. And he doesn't shoot heroin or anything. That I know of... he's in like 7th grade I think. He's pretty cool from what I know about him.

American Idol was on because I didn't feel like changing the channel after King Of THe HIll, and they just did Take It Easy as a group. It was pretty good.

Hey, man, never call the trumpet stupid. :p

Schedules are cool:

AP American History
Honors Algebra II
Pop Music Studies
Honors English 10
Band (there is an honors band, but it requires too much dedication)
Honors Biology
German II

The DMV, it is incredibly awesome that your school offers Italian as a foreign language.

Wahey? I see a new MX trend ;)

I have 7 classes.

On Monday/Wednesday/Friday:
Homeroom 7:55-8:05
Spanish II Honors 8:08-8:58
Biology 9 Honors 9:01-9:51
Break 9:51-10:16
Study Hall 10:19-11:09
World Cultures 9 Honors 11:12-12:02
English 9 Honors 12:05-12:55
Lunch 12:55-1:20
Algebra II Honors 1:23-2:13
Art 9 2:16-3:06

Somehow school ends at 3:10 though. Just a few minutes give or take somewhere. Flip all my classes around for Tuesday and Thursday. My favorite classes are Art and Spanish II (and Study Hall :smash: ), hardest classes are English, Algebra, and World Cultures just because I hate having to work, easiest class is definitely Biology. My teacher is really cool.
