i missed polvo because my girlfriend was underage and the bouncer at the all ages show was being a large bundle of sticks ****.
how could he not let her in if it was all ages?

so many of the venues here seem like they are strictly 21+ which is okay in that you don't have to worry about going to a show with lame *** 15 year olds who start head banging and going into epileptic fits the instant the horrible sounding opener starts. 2 more months.

Liebensaft 06-17-2009 10:43 PM

I wish I was that close. And yo, are you goin' to Sonic Youth, fool? July 1st or 2nd or something?

samarahah 06-17-2009 10:45 PM

oh, i'm not. im pretty positive its sold out or something. i dont know i didn't even look into it.

Liebensaft 06-17-2009 10:49 PM

As far as I know, it's still on ticketmaster. It's only $30 after the service charge, which seems pretty reasonable, especially considering I saw them for free the last time. I'm pretty sure I'll have friends who wanna go, so I feel like I'll probably end up there.

I'm behind the times, man. Good for you. I can't wait to leave and go back to school. Tucson > my town and all the crappy little towns around it.

That album's good. That song "Wham City" is designed to implant itself into a brain and never leave.

I just finally got into Radiohead. I'd listened to some of their recent stuff and I never liked it to much, but I heard some of their early more "rock" stuff and I got hooked.

"I Can't" off of the Pablo Honey album is like my new favorite song.

cbmartinez 06-19-2009 01:33 AM

all i can say is hopefully thats a stepping stone towards their more interesting stuff, their first two albums are kind of meh
