Wassup Gice?

I tryed some Paiste Giant Beat Rides today. Sex.

MatthewMeredith 11-06-2006 09:54 PM

I saw this really cool band perform today and he had THE dryest cymbals of all time.

I wanted them big time.

I didn't get a chance to go ask him what they were though.

Anyone here ever tried a Sabian unlathed ride?
Anyone here ever tried a Sabian unlathed ride?
No, but if you wanna hear a really dry ride try out a Zildjian Earth Ride. Those things are extremely dry, dryer than that AA Raw Ride or whatever Sabian ride your talking about because they're extra heavy..AA Raw Rides are medium-thin.

I think the Earth rides dryer than the Paragon ride too.

Berk 11-06-2006 10:19 PM

Double ride. Sex.

Maggot Dream 11-06-2006 10:22 PM

Looks awesome, TTTSNB. I'd kill to have a setup like that.

Electric Requiem 11-06-2006 10:35 PM

I wish I could afford that many cymbals

Futuro 11-06-2006 10:36 PM

I just saw Borat. Heehee. Funny.

TTTSNB 11-06-2006 10:48 PM

Thanks guys, I would go back to that setup, but I like having the hihat and it's pedal closer to me now.

How is it? Is it really stupid or is it something that is "I will go see again" worthy? Ive been meaning to see it but I havent had the chance.

It's in the top 250 on IMDB.

I like Sacha's comedy, so I would probably see it again. If only to see a large group of people walk out during the hotel scene again.

Hello.

MatthewMeredith 11-06-2006 11:59 PM

Hi.

Hey guys I didn't really want to start another thread, so I'll just ask here.

I'm from Canada (clearly) and I'm looking to buy some custom drums. I've been looking at Ayotte, and I like their drums, but I haaaate their wood hoops (which I'm definitely getting) and their lugs (ugly as sin).

Does anyone know of any other Canadian custom drum companies that are fairly inexpensive?

Also, I'm looking for a jazzy type setup, but I can't decide what to go with:
A four piece with the following sizes:
24x14
15x15
12x9
13x7 snare
or something like what my setup right now is like (which I love) except in much smaller (bop) sizes:

Borat was funny as ****, some parts were so outrageous

LoneStarDrummer 11-07-2006 01:44 AM

i was talking to my mom and dad yesterday and they both agreed to give me $1500 for my dream drum set. i plan on saving a good $1200 up during the course of the summer to go along with this, plus what ever spare cash i can save up between now and the end of the summer.

it's hard for me to save money since i'm currently going to college, but i figure after the end of the summer (still several months away) i should be able to order my six piece yamaha beech custom absolute nouveau (three racks, two floor toms).

just thinking about it makes me antsy. it's still a little while before this will happen, i've got to focus on school and my grades. then i need to get me a good summer job.

(*The Noonward Race*) 11-07-2006 01:46 AM

My user title is pretty much a borat quote. hehehe

Ha! i just pointed out to some random on bebo that slipknot and joey jodison aren't the best in the world (very politely i might add) and that there is better music around, this is the reply I got:

Josiah 11-07-2006 04:29 AM

So is the one trying to argue with him....

Iodus 11-07-2006 04:33 AM

There was no arguement there, I started talking to him about drumming, slipknot came up, I said that i prefer more technical drumming like tool, then there was that, but anyway, i let it slide and said something about mike portnoy, which seemed to fix everthing, I'm not guna argue with some who won't listen
...seems abit pointless really

Futuro 11-07-2006 04:37 AM

/Turns maturity knob from 7 to 2

shutt up i wana argue against u. Slipknot rules cuz ur gay a fag! pshhh danny carey, more like dana carvy is technical drummer like tool!

Futuro 11-07-2006 04:58 AM

We_Love_Lime 11-07-2006 07:43 AM

Hmm..
Anybody got any good jokes?
I've been lacking whatever humor I once contained.
And it's doing nothing but bad for me.

I've been studying for my physics exam on classical mechanics, and I've come accross an online text book with a bunch of topic-related rhymes. Not something you often find. Here's one I found from the earlier chapters I could've used last semester.

Newton looked at the data, numerical,
And then observations, empirical.
He said, “But, of course,
We get the same force
From a point mass and something that’s spherical!”

Is it sad that I find that funny?

Bonham#1! 11-07-2006 10:41 AM

Probably is sad. I wouldnt know because I dont get it.
