Yeah, he was just wandering around somewhere in the Norwegian wilderness, and died out there of hypothermia. He was in a black metal band though, so that's his body and spirit being reclaimed by majestic mother Norway.

EDIT: or else he was just a bit underprepared. So I suppose it's either a really cool or a slightly stupid death.
