I guess the punk forum has been slow or something, because I've been posting in other forums. I was having some conversations in Politics and posting other stuff in there, then I posted in a couple threads in R&M.

Not as bad as the pop-punk forum is starting to get again. that place is full of mugs, there's about 4 good posters in there

I could never get into posting in there. Most of the people don't like good pop-punk.

Politics is nice, but I can't stay there long because the seriousness hurts. I just like the Star Wars thread in there. Because I'm such a nerd.

i posted in politics a few times, but got bored. Plus everyone has their own opinion and no-one in there really seems to want to change any opinions they have

Or you could just not worry about it. They play pop music rooted in punk and new-wave, they're forever going to be referred to as pop-punk. The world will still turn.

Because pop-punk is seen as this negative thing. It was used negatively for so long, it will be a long time, if ever, that a band can be good and pop-punk to the majority.

it seems people have improved with genres though, when's the last time we saw a blink182 or GC thread in the punk forum? (or maybe that's because the mods are quick at deleting them)

yeah, i think most people will listen to you when you try to explain things like that, and most seem to understand. (Ganondorf is not included in this)

My friend always takes offense to when I call NOFX pop-punk.

I like alot of pop-punk. There is nothing wrong with pop-punk.

I think they tread the line between pop punk and punk (NOFX)

i hate how people think differently about a band because of their style. like does it really matter what people call them. if you like their music it shouldnt really matter.
