Yeah, they're not metal though, just metal influenced.
I listen to a lot of non-metal stuff .

Like Korn. :p

I was just saying, anyway.

NP: Minor Threat - Out of Step (with the world)

Lord Abortion 11-11-2005 01:39 PM

I was really close to buying troublegum on whim a couple of weeks ago...I probably told you that, Jelle.

I do that with more regularity now, just find bands people on here rave about, and buy a random album without actually listening to them first, it worked with Dream Theater a while back, and look how much I love them now...

NP-Pig destroyer- Gravedancer

(This is rather good, The drumming is brilliant)

Kurtz 11-11-2005 01:46 PM
Speaking of music, I finally listened to De La Soul's Three Feet High and Rising and was a little disappointed.
What didn't you like about it?

I like it because it feels more playful than most rap albums out there. Not like a joke, but more laid back, if that makes any sense.

Kurtz 11-11-2005 02:00 PM
I don't know...it just didn't click with me for some reason.
Eh, thenmaybe you'll like De La Soul is Dead. It's a little more on the serious side, but I still think TFHAR is their best.

Folks, where should I start with Therapy? I've heard some stuff from them, but I'm not sure which albums I should begin with. Jelle, or any other Therapy? fans, help me out here.

EDIT: ah, recommendations above me

Shred Danson 11-11-2005 02:17 PM

I was about to buy a Therapy? album the other day, but didn't have enough money...:(

Josh 11-11-2005 02:24 PM

on a random note, http://www.tartareandesire.com/ has a few mp3s on it by not so well-known bands, all metal. it's got a huge band info bit as well, but a lot of the bands don't have mp3s on the site.

NP: Demons and Wizards - Winter of Souls.

liking this album, it got sent out in the PM mailing list.

There's a power metal mailing list?

Arrakakaka 11-11-2005 02:31 PM

You know how I'm in Oakland county? Oakland is goin' to be the testing ground for the 7 Pilot project. Wireless EVERYTHING. No use for cable. Or anything with a cable. I'm so excited.

Josh 11-11-2005 02:33 PM
There's a power metal mailing list?
If you think thats crazy, what about all those dudes that use their cell phone all the time, and develope tumors on that side of their head...

Haha, the guys in Therapy? should start sending me money, seriously. Their sales must have gone up a lot.

If any of you guys want me to send some songs, contact me on AIM or MSN or e-mail, or whatever, let me know.

Jom 11-11-2005 04:14 PM

Marlon, I sent you your TSO sampler.*

*the entire Christmas Eve and Other Stories album

Happy listening :)

superpeer 11-11-2005 04:16 PM

Check back a page or so. :p I can't really think of anyone that sounds like them.

Don't think it's your cup of tea, though. Although, you do like some 90's rock, if I remember correctly.

superpeer 11-11-2005 04:35 PM

I know they are, but it's just hard to describe them. :)

I could send you some songs, if you like. And to anyone else.

Kurtz 11-11-2005 04:44 PM

That'd be nice of you, Jelle :)

Shattered_Future 11-11-2005 04:50 PM

Your consistent whoring of Therapy? has finally intrigued me.

If you would, send a song or 2 to anemiate@yahoo.com if you want. No rush...take your time. :thumb:

On unrelated news, I made 40 bucks babysitting today...spent half of it on a studded guitar strap. Needed to replace my old one...twas falling apart.

Josh 11-11-2005 05:02 PM

i would like to hear some Therapy? please Jelle, i think i may have seen a couple of videos a while ago and they weren't bad.

I'll just put in three, no one wants to download 40MB files. I'll pick them from three different albums and put in Long Distance, to avoid Jom's Wrath.
