Did you even read the link? It talks about how there are speed limits on the autobahns in specific places and that there are actually speed suggestions all over the things?
If you exceed that suggestion and get into an accident, you are partially liable for damages to the other vehicle and yours, even if the accident wasn't your fault. There are also a ton of rules to passing and flow of traffic it's not even funny. Way better than the American freeway system:angry:
The autobahn is silly. OMGOMGOMG 120KPH IS SO FAAAAAAST. When really, it's just 75 miles per hour. I never understood why people freaked out about it. In Japan, if you were in the accident, it's at least 20% your fault 'cause you were there. And it costs hundreds of dollars to get a driver's license. And then it gets revoked if you are in an accident [I think]. So...there arn't very many accidents in Japan at ALL. OH. And if it's an accident between a car and a pedestrian, it's the driver's fault 100% no matter WHAT happened. |
Wow, that's harsh. Talking of Japan, I saw a program on their suicide bombers that thy used in WW2. Grusome but well interesting.
|
That's exactly why I don't like Japan. I've ran over too many pedestrians to respect any law that gives them rights over a motorist.
|
Crazy japanese people.
|
OH. And if it's an accident between a car and a pedestrian, it's the driver's fault 100% no matter WHAT happened.
That's pretty much the case here in the UK too. The law is almost completely closed to any form of interpretation of events that would cause them to use logic or common sense. God damn the justice system in the United Kingdom. ~~ |
Yeah, but in the UK and Japan, there are way less cars because everything is in walking distance. Everything in the US is hellishly rural, and only in major cities is everything in walking distance.
I mean, the closest gas station is 20 minutes away from our house, and we don't live in the boondocks. We live on a major ass roadway. |

If the nearest gas station is truly 20 mins away. You live in the flippin boon docks. Wich is cool, but everything in the US is not "hellishly rural". try traveling around the country a bit first... The U.S. has one of the most diverse landscapes in the world, wich leads to some of the most diverse living in the world.
I went there to check out MI recently. Gave the rental car back to hertz the first day :-/ So much traffic it is really faster to walk, or take the bus/metro.
Haha i told ya man! And I live here :( It's pretty amazing to see a 16 lane highway dead stopped. Except you know, when you wantted to use it... |
The autobahn is silly.
OMGOMGOMG 120KPH IS SO FAAAAAAST. When really, it's just 75 miles per hour.
Where did you get the 120 figure from? It's pretty uncommon to see people (discounting heavier vehicles) going at less than 120 on the autobahns. |
But it still requires the use of cars more than the UK and Japan.
That was my point, but whatever. |
True, but those countries are also a fraction of the size. Japan doesn't use cars because of over crowding of people and most people can't afford them.. not because fantastic metro systems.
Same with the UK. It's expensive (to have a car), overcrowded and a tiny place. Not much room for cars. |

God damn the justice system in the United Kingdom. ~~
It actually kind of makes sense in Japan, though. I mean...it's really very hard to drive over ~35kph [that was the top speed for us, generally it was slower..unless it was 2 in the morning]. There's too many cars. It's moving so slowly that I think you'd actually have to try to hit a pedestrian. |

UK sucks. you probably pay more in insurance over the years then you do for a nice, brand new car. Down here in the south west, it's very rural. Not having a car, or some sort of transport means you either have to walk, get a bus, which there probably isn't one, or just stay where you are and hope for the best. |

haha yea man.. and parking prices are nuts! MI staff pays $60-80 month just to park to teach. That's totally whack I say.
The only one of those facts is the cost. UK sucks. you probably pay more in insurance over the years then you do for a nice, brand new car..
I'm pretty sure they are all true. Your country is smaller then the state I live in. |
Netherlands lost to Portugal.
Both teams played with 9 men at the very end. It was stupid. I hate Portugal. |
Ha, 9 men?? Jesus, they really have tightened up the refereeing. You hate Portugal as a country or a football team?
|
Dilemma. I want to go swimming, but I want to finish downloading this damn freakin' Penicillin album.
|
I'm pretty sure they are all true. Your country is smaller then the state I live in.
England has a smaller land area than almost half the states. The UK is about 40 times smaller than the U.S., but the population is only about 5 times smaller. This will naturally lead to more crowding in the U.K. and thus a lack of need for individual transportation.
Dilemma. I want to go swimming, but I want to finish downloading this damn freakin' Penicillin album.
Go swimming and leave the album to download. Should be done by the time you get back. |
Ha, 9 men?? Jesus, they really have tightened up the refereeing. You hate Portugal as a country or a football team?
Football team. Figo, Miguel, Deco, and maybe Ricardo are all class. I hate the rest of the bloody team. Especially that arrogant prick they call an all star Ronaldo. Netherlands played excellently, and had much better plays. Van Persie, Robben, Sjneider, Van Bronkorst (sp), Cocu, Van Der Saar. Blah! |
I'm not allowed to download music, and if I get off the computer, my father will get on. Of course he'll click the little blue birdy in the corner and I'll get reamed out.
|
Bummer.
I'm not "allowed" to download music, but I do anyway, and just get a stern look every now and then. |
Check out my MX Jazz lesson on trading 4s.
Kind of dorky, but I had fun making it and it might help out some people. http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=4110934&q=hi |
nice lesson.

Im back
Im back
Welcome back. |
If they don't want me to download music, why don't they pay $40 for me to buy an imported CD? I bring that up and get yelled at. =/
Does anybody else go on other forums? I need to find a new one. |
I go on loads.
I jus found a video of jordison playing OCDP with a gibby rack :-/ |
Hey guys, one of my friends is currently considering offers from a couple of record labels and is looking for musicians. She says I could drum for her, but this would almost certainly mean me leaving college in order to play on her tour later this year. Do you guys think it's worth the risk of leaving college?

depends what you want to do in life.
