Bury was the hottest place in the north west the other day, reached about 36 i think, i live on the boarder of Bury, its not nice at all.

I was down in London on Thursday...and it was absolutely scorching! I dont know how hot it was but it was too bloody hot for my liking. Even more so when riding the tube...
I think it was because there were so many people there that it seemed much hotter.

One thing to learn about london: don't go on the tube on a hot day if you can possibly avoid it.

Heh, true, but its pretty cheap and you dont have to go through the whole congestion charge crap.
Worst thing ever: Being in a tube, during rush hour, on a very hot day.

It's getting held in a really posh hotel though which is a bad idea!

My band is going down the pan, so I am stopping caring, really.
We can't practice, and I feel I'm going to have to let down the really enthusiastic guys in the band, who I really like, because of this, as the drummer works every day until 6...I'm going to try a couple more times to sort something, but it's not looking good.

Meh my band went to hell. The drummer just stopped caring. I try to get things together but nothing happens, occassionally I'll jam with my bassist and try to write some songs but nothing comes out of it :(

And I felt sorry for the bands, they were really good but noone turned up.

It was looking really good, too.
I had new people, kicked out the fags who were in the band before, apart from the drummer, and got some cool kids in.
I try to arrange a practice and this happens via text.

Me: Dude, you want a practice sometime?
Drummer: no reply
Me: Dude, I really need to know if we can practice so I can tell other people
Drummer: No reply
Me:Gives up.

It happens every time I try, then he told me when I got in contact with him that he has a job where he works every day from 8 until 6, then basically sleeps and plays Warcraft all other times.
I feel sorry for the guy, he's a good drummer, but he just hasn't been able to play much.

Maybe he's playing Bass in another band like mine :angry:

Nah, I'm not going to go into it any furhter cause he posts on here, but he's a good guy, and it's not really his fault, he just needs to get the hang of what his damn phone is used for.

Yeah, that sucks.

I'm gonna try and arrange to get another guitarist. He's only been playing a year but he's pretty good and knows loadsa theory and is good at songwriting. Guess that's what years of sax and piano do to you.

Plus he has an afro! :eek:

Well, I'm off to Uni next year, so hah.

im hopefully gunna be playing bass in a new band soon, my and a guitarist friend are putting it together hopefully, itll be my first, im dead excited

im kinda nervous about playing in front of our maybe drummer, as i dont know him, and hes used to playing with a really good bassist, and im eight months self taught so i kinda suck :S

i swear to god i'm never working another day in my life, yesterday killed me and my arms are all sore from all the schlapping and stuff :(

(basically me and my childhood best friend got ourselves into an adventure remarkably similar to an episode of chucklevision involving setting up a BBQ party (schlapping chairs and tables and whatever), serving vol au vonts and drinks, cleaning up etc. argh effort. but we got £50 each. which I intend to drink today :D)
