Sometimes my posts arrive 5 minutes ahead of actual time...

Relative time between posts is accurate, though.

Ah. Male or female?

What happened, anyway?
So tonight is the Date a DJ charity auction for the campus radio station at my uni. Twenty or so DJs are going to be auctioned off (for charity, obviously).

/me goes across stage to music

MC: "One dollar, come on now!"

/X-Files theme music plays

MC: "Fifty cents! A quarter!"

/blank stares from audience

MC: "Jom, get the fuck off the stage."
Bumped in case anyone missed it... my story starts on 2354 and carries over to the next page :)

Talk to you all later, for I must leave now.

Illmatic 04-06-2005 05:41 PM

Male...in one of her classes the other day, the professor was out, so the TA was put in charge of the class that day and assigned something, which no one in the class did. So she was walking across the campus today and the TA stopped her and started complaining about how her and no one else in the class did the assignment, and said that she was a "bright girl" with "a lot of potential" and that this was "out of her nature". He's like, 24, too. If I were the jealous type I'd rough him up.

Kurtz 04-06-2005 05:54 PM

Well was it just to her, or would this guy have done it to anyone in that class?

I don't really know, which is what bothers me.

NP: The Simpsons on TV

Bartender 04-06-2005 06:03 PM

Well, was he actually bothering her? It might just be that he happened upon her, and took the opportunity to point out that no one had done what they were told in the lesson. It sounds like regular teacher (or assistant, I suppose) talk to me.

Anyway. I think we should start a new Community thread. Anyone agree?

Well, she said that he passed few a students along the way...maybe he didn't notice them.

And I don't see why we need to start a new one.

Bartender 04-06-2005 06:12 PM

Well, the thread's getting to the size where it actually takes time to load the to the last page, because of the number of posts in it. It's also getting to the point (around 60,000 posts) when the search function won't work within it; the database will just return an error, because it's too much information to process*.

So I think we should just start a new one, with this one linked to on the first page, naturally.

*Also, because of that copy I made in Tab Talk, it might be safer just to seal this one off and hope.
Anyway. I think we should start a new Community thread. Anyone agree?
Why? How would it be different to this one?

It wouldn't have that same "everyday" feeling this one has, methinks.

Bartender 04-06-2005 06:14 PM

It'd be the same as this one, just in a different thread, for practical reasons.

Ah, not a bad idea.

Would it be called The R&M Community Thread?

Bartender 04-06-2005 06:20 PM

I suppose, at first. So people wouldn't wonder too much what the hell was going on. We could re-found the Yacht club, or whatever, later on though.

Kurtz 04-06-2005 06:20 PM

...would this one be deleted/closed?

Permanent Solution 04-06-2005 06:21 PM

Closed, not deleted methinks.

My gigantic thread! :*(

Kurtz 04-06-2005 06:22 PM

Okay, do it Bart.

Bartender 04-06-2005 06:23 PM

Closed, yeah. And Superpeer, I thought you would be the one to start the next one. So you can have multiple gigantic threads.

superpeer 04-06-2005 06:27 PM

Oh, alright, let's at least wait until this one actually hits 60,000.

I am retarded.

That is the only reason why I would confuse 60,000 with 59,200.
Oh, alright, let's at least wait until this one actually hits 60,000.
Yeah, fair enough. Just remember to link to this old one in the new one :)

I wonder how Antihero's auction is going.

I'm off to have a drink, a break from the computer, and to watch Letterman. Apparently Solomon Burke is on tonight..anyone (i.e. you Americans who may have seen it already) know if he's there to talk or to sing?

Anyway, don't spam your way through the last 900 posts..see you all later.

Kurtz 04-06-2005 06:38 PM

Later Bart.

I went to private school, and I am horrible at math.

Illmatic 04-06-2005 06:48 PM

*American school system, then.

Distant Echoes 04-06-2005 06:52 PM

I switched from private to public in 8th grade. My grades totally altered, and they both equally sucked. Best part was the amount of girls in the public school though...big upgrade.
