aah that sucks. :( Didn't they only release one album (Handshakes For Bullets)?
Nah, they only just put out a second, and announced their break-up on the day it was released. It may just be a brilliant Wildhearts-esque publicity stunt. |

It may just be a brilliant Wildhearts-esque publicity stunt.
It would be cool if it was but I somehow doubt it...although it is weird how they announce their break up on EXACTLY the same day as their album is released....weirdness. |
Didn't another band do exactly the same thing in the late 80s? An American hardcore group, I think.
|
Kinesis announced they were going to split up after the release of their second album a few months ago. I bought it off amazon today
|

Source Tags and Codes
Source Tags and Codes Source Tags and Codes ...I had a long nighttime drive tonight, so I put this album on and it was amazing as usual. The last song is so great. |
I don't know :( I bought A Story In White when it first came out (four years ago now, which is a depressing thought), and slowly came to love it. Then I just didn't buy Sleep and Release or Seclusion for some reason, despite being made fully aware of them by reviews and things.
I downloaded both songs you had posted in Forced Listening a while ago. I love the band now and I want to buy a cd, so I guess I'll just get "A Story In White". |
Herbie Hancock - Man Child, man this owns, uploaded in yousendit, the first tracks funks the crap out of my face
|
I dig their Major Threat advertisment line.

P.S. A little Flyin' The Flannel by fIREHOSE in between GAB songs isn't too bad either.
|
Gentlemen is disgustingly overrated. A few great songs, a lot of crap.
Well the few great songs is correct, but as for "filler crap" it's not quite there. It's more like B- material. |
Atheist and Nas
|
Herbie Hancock - Man Child, man this owns, uploaded in yousendit, the first tracks funks the crap out of my face
Yah it's awsome. If you like that you should check out Head Hunters. Chameloen is 15 minutes of pure funky goodness. |
Well the few great songs is correct, but as for "filler crap" it's not quite there. It's more like B- material.
I suppose. I still say it's a brilliant album. |
I suppose. I still say it's a brilliant album.
It's above par (a C) that's all, nothing more and nothing less. In my eyes it's far from "brilliant", it's just a solid album. It's an album that you don't listen to more than once in the same day and that's the measuring stick for me. If I can listen to any given album more than once (all the way through) in the same day then something clicked. |
Les Savy Fav - Rome (Written Upside Down)
|
Gentlemen is disgustingly overrated. A few great songs, a lot of crap.
What do you think the crap songs are? |
This summer I'm going to listen to as many Frank Zappa releases as I possibly can. :thumb:
|
I dig their Major Threat advertisment line.

Dandy Warhols
Mamas and the Papas CSNY Funkadelic |
I've been digging the maniac street preachers a ton lately, same with the pixies and dream theater. Gold Against The Soul is quite a good album.
|
I've been listening to Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables. Best Dead Kennedys album ever.
|
The only thing I've been listening to consistently (as in, apart from various single songs) is Halfway To Gone - Second Season. It's odd, because it's not sophisticated or "deep" at all, it's just a really good album that holds my attention over and over.
|
watched the movie 'The Commitments' again and hence am now digging the soundtrack again
|
I've been listening to Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables. Best Dead Kennedys album ever.
I was so happy when I walked into Tower Records last week to see that they probably had at least 20 different albums. |
