I didnt take a picture of him! You dont go around taking pictures of random Hare Krishna monks, especially when theyre trying to get money out of you.

lol. That doesn't sound very monk like.

Slayer! I've been liking the new stuff after seeing them live. Dunno why.

New Faith is becoming a quick fav

The Negation 07-21-2006 05:02 AM

I think he was a crappy monk...but probably because he wanted our money.
New Slayer sucks big time.
Nothing they do will ever top Show No Mercy.

^^ 123

1. Show No Mercy
2. Haunting The Chapel
3. Seasons In The Abyss
4. Reign In Blood
5. South Of Heaven
6. Hell Awaits
rest

I'm not huge on HA, but I love South Of Heaven.

Bazarov 07-21-2006 06:00 AM

Hell Awaits is Slayers best. Anyone who disagrees poses hard as fuck.

Nostalgia 07-21-2006 06:14 AM

Haha, Barbie's gotta work.

But yeah. It's their best by far. I don't know why all the fans are obsessed with RIB. It's a great album, but isn't up to par with Hell waits.

eug009 07-21-2006 06:32 AM

And so they have relesed a new alternate cover art

http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=55362

Looks better IMO

The Negation 07-21-2006 06:57 AM
Hell Awaits is Slayers best. Anyone who disagrees poses hard as fuck.
I disagree. Show No Mercy is by far their best. All 10 tracks are quality, and with all the Slayer albums following Show No Mercy, you merely get a few quality tracks and the rest are rubbish. Hell Awaits only has about 5 good tracks and the rest are sub par.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-21-2006 07:17 AM

Call me unoriginal, but I like Reign In Blood best. It has intensity.

Haunting The Chapel is second best.

FatalEnergy 07-21-2006 10:07 AM

Agreed. Hell Awaits was Slayer at their most evil.

heavy metal kid 07-21-2006 11:47 AM

So this is my point of view of the Unholly Aliance:

TEB sucks, they have this bald guitarist that plays ****ty solos, I thought he was like joking.

Mastodon was probably the best band of the show(besides Slayer), they played semi complex riffs and songs like Iron Tusk are just badass. Also they have this Randy Rhoads concept drumset.

CoB is a good band, but I expected something better. If it wasn't for the wankin of Laiho it would probably be the most boring band of the show.

LoG is such a childish band, their music was boring but I got to admit, the crowd love them and was probably the band with most stage presence of the show.

Slayer, man do I loved what they did after Dead Skin Mask, just amazing. Jeff Hanneman is freaking fat and Tom Araya looks old.

Best guitarist: Alexi Laiho
Best Bassist:Tony Sanders
Best Drummer:Chris Adler/Dave Lombrado/Bran Dailor
Best Vocals: Tom Araya

Worst Guitarist: That bald guy from TEB
Worst Bassist:The guy from CoB
Worst Drummer: The guy from CoB
Worst vocals: Laiho?

I got beer on my back and I almost got puked, my sister got owned several times and of course I personally kick those guys' asses.

Akward moment of the night: I met Butcher and i didn't know his name.

Overall: **** with the Alliance, we are here for Slayer!

AA-12 07-21-2006 12:49 PM

Haha, did you go like:

Hey... butcher!

Oh hey!... heavy metal kid

/awkward silence

Nostalgia 07-21-2006 12:52 PM

Hahaha. That'd be hilarious if you called eachother by your MX names.

Butcher didn't try to lure you to his house, did he?

I'm going to set you straight here.

Worst Vocals : Laiho owns Randy any day. Not saying Laiho is great, but blythe is just terrible.
Worst Drummer: Jaska plays at 200 + consistently and well. While he isn't Dailor , he's quite good.
haha. I'll go with LoG (both) for worst guitarists. But yeah, that bald guy wasn't great.
Best Vox: agreed. Tom wins easy.
Best drumming : Dailor, this isn't close.
Best Bass : forget his name, the Mastodon guy
Guitar : Laiho , easy.

Stage Presence, I'll take Mastodon.

AA-12 07-21-2006 02:03 PM

Nah, Randy >>>>> Laiho. I like LoG a lot though.

Nostalgia 07-21-2006 02:07 PM

LoG were pretty good when I saw them, but I'm not a hugh fan of 'em.

Prince Charming 07-21-2006 02:08 PM

LoG was awful when I saw them. Worse than trivium. That says something.

Nostalgia 07-21-2006 02:11 PM

I have to take a 4 hour car ride with this kid who's obsessed with bands like Trivium, Slipknot, As I Lay Dying, and Chimaria. Oh, this is going to be fun.

He tells me Trivium is metal's future, heh.

Prince Charming 07-21-2006 02:14 PM

He told me that he's an idiot.

AA-12 07-21-2006 02:52 PM

Me too.

Nostalgia 07-21-2006 02:53 PM

Haha, I think dei was permed.

Prince Charming 07-21-2006 02:54 PM
Haha, I think dei was permed.
Good. That OMgz can't have teh rascim idiot should be permed.

He just created himself into a victim and the mods didn't buy it.

Chemical Warefare is becoming a favorite track for me

AA-12 07-21-2006 02:56 PM

Yeah, he was.

Nostalgia 07-21-2006 02:57 PM

That guy was like bi-polar.

heavy metal kid 07-21-2006 03:04 PM
I'm going to set you straight here.

The drummer from CoB played fast, but he was boring.
LoG guitar sucks, but that bald guy from TEB played 4 notes solos and then the whammy attack, the other guitarist was way better.

Butcher said: Hey, are you from MX?
I said: Yes. You're Butcher, right?
Butcher: Yeah

Then the handshake, and no, he didn't try to lure into his house.

AA-12 07-21-2006 03:11 PM

Dude, how can you say LoG guitar sucks. That's evil.

heavy metal kid 07-21-2006 03:18 PM
Dude, how can you say LoG guitar sucks. That's evil.
Well, after listening to Mastodon and Children of Bodom, LoG didn't impress me at all. But Blythe and Adler were great.

AA-12 07-21-2006 03:20 PM

Ah, I see. LoG will always be one of my favorite bands to play on any instrument.

Anyway, Slayer \m/

Bazarov 07-21-2006 03:21 PM

Me personally, maybe it's because of me being a Slayer fan boy. I love everything they've done, every song, up to Divine Intervention. Hell Awaits just happens to be my all-time favorite. I was joking about the being a poseur part.
Call me unoriginal, but I like Reign In Blood best. It has intensity.

Haunting The Chapel is second best.
Man, you've changed way too much, I don't think we can be friends on myspace anymore.
Agreed. Hell Awaits was Slayer at their most evil.
High five!
Overall: **** with the Alliance, we are here for Slayer!
 After every song, and someone said something I just yelled "SLAYER!" at the top of my lungs. I hated everyband there (besides Slayer), but it was cool to see Alexi play those solos live.

 I don't know if you heard it, but when Mastodon stopped playing for like a second, someone yelled, "YOU SUCK!" so loud, I know the band heard it.

I was pissing of this guy next to me. I guess he was there for CoB, and I was talking shit about them pretty loud. I was calling them, "Children of BOREDOM" and that Alexi could switch places with Avril. And the guy kept looking at me and giving me dirty looks. I could tell he was getting pissed, because like everytime Alexi went to talk to the crowd or after they played a song I just yelled, "SLAYER!" so damn loud.

 Sometime into LoG's set, the singer was all, "Give it up for the band that opened this show up, THINE EYES BLEED!"

*few people in crowd cheer, is quite quiet*

Toaster 07-21-2006 03:23 PM

Alexi played decently when I went, but he slammed his headstock into the stage when he tried a guitar spin.
