Not for me, I listen to them so much I overrate them. |
Yea but the studio album sucks. (harsh but true)
I think it has its high and lows. I like Sysyphus I-II and The Narrow Way II. |

I like the studio album. All of The Narrow Ways are cool, Roger's stuff is weird, but listenable, and from what I remember I liked Rick's songs too. I haven't listened to his or Nick's as much though. |
Underrated album would have to be The Division Bell. At least for me, it is. Lyrically, it may not be up to par with Pink Floyd's best stuff, due to the absence of Waters, but insturmentally, every song on there is beautiful, IMO. :D
It's hard to say most underrated song, because there are so many that noone has really heard.(When I say noone, I don't mean the people in this thread, I mean everyone) I think I'd say Have a Cigar, or Young Lust. I have this wierd obsession with both of those tracks. The intro to Have a Cigar is awesome, as well as the solo. I've said it before, but I just love the solo to Young Lust. I find it to be very underrated. |
I think Hey You is way overshadowed by Comfortably Numb.

To be honest Hey You never did anything for me. I mean everybody here knows how dedicated of a Pink Floyd fan I am, but eh its a great song, and I never skip it, but I never look forward to it. |
I also really like Hey You. I really only like the beginning, though. Near the end, it gets too dark for my liking. :-/ The intro riff is also very good. It's fun to play too.
|
Hey You and Is There Anybody Out There really do it for me, whatever it is. I love those two tracks, those are the high point of The Wall for me.
|
Have a Cigar is underrated, but is a very good song indeed.
Any Colour You Like is also somewhat underrated, when being compared to some of DSOTM's other tracks. The keyboard solo is amazing, and the guitar solo is the most physcadelic noodling i've ever heard come out of a guitar. Try listening to it in a pitch black room high, and boy will that song take you on a journey. |
Interstellar Overdrive takes you on quite a journey.

"The worms ate into his brain" That's your favorite part on the entire album, amirite? :) I agree with Shazzam about Any Colour you Like. Does anyone know what kind of effect Gilmour uses? |

That's your favorite part on the entire album, amirite? :)
Yes, yes you are. It's intensely epic to me for some reason. /goes to listen to it. |
I like Hey You alot because, mainly, of the solo. It's fun to play on guitar too :p
I think you can pull it off with a flanger.
I was just talking about Hey You, not about Any Color You Like. |
what do you think is Floyd's most underated album, and also song?
Piper of the Gates of Dawn and "Intersteller Overdrive". |
I was just talking about Hey You, not about Any Color You Like.
I was talking to Jake. Jake: I think a flanger will do |
Piper of the Gates of Dawn and "Intersteller Overdrive".
Piper actually seems to be becoming one of their more popular albums. |
I was talking to Jake.
Jake: I think a flanger will do
So why did you quote me? /confused. |
OBC or Saucerful of Secrets for most underrated album. Any Colour You Like for underrated song.
I never really saw Have A Cigar as underrated, just brilliant. It never occured to me that other people might not recognize this. |
So why did you quote me?
/confused.
or did he? O_o |
So why did you quote me?

Have you been taking LSD? |
Have you been taking LSD?
Well, yea, but that still has no effect on this discussion. |
what do you think is Floyd's most underated album, and also song?
