I've been digging Strapping Young Lad, which is awesome because I haven't really dug metal for a while, but I'm loving their album City.

Also been digging American Music Club. I got their album Everclear, and it's brilliant, I recommend it to one and all.

That was strong  .

I just downloaded Singles from The Clash.

How scene of you.

natsume 03-28-2005 02:33 PM

The music that I like to listen to right now..

Incubus
Smashing Pumpkins
Jack off Jill
Bjork (not all of her stuff, just some)
Pearl Jam
Soundgarden

... I'm drawing a blank now, I guess I'll have to update this later when I remember it all.

BUT there is this one song that I listened to recently, it's not a song with lyrics, but it's really good. In case anyone's interested, the song is from the 28 days later soundtrack, it's called In a Heartbeat.

Iai 03-28-2005 02:37 PM

Jack Off Jill's 'Clear Hearts Grey Flowers' is something of a guilty pleasure of mine. Guilty, because I'm always making snide remarks about Marilyn Manson fans.

Right now I'm digging a Jean Michel Jarre compilation. It's pretty good.

I am still listening to QOTSA - L2P prety much all the time. I have only played a couple of other Cds and randomly gone through my downloads a couple of times this week.

/pseudo-rep for AMC love

Currently:
Akron/Family - Gorgeous self-titled psych-folk release. I'm really enjoying it so far.

Little Man being Erased 03-28-2005 05:13 PM

So I got some Kyuss a week or so ago and I have to say, not very impressed. I mean, it's OK but it's no QOTSA.

QOTSA>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kyuss.

br3ad_man 03-28-2005 05:26 PM

Well, obviously...

Little Man being Erased 03-28-2005 05:28 PM

Oh well... :(

Doctor D. 03-28-2005 06:48 PM

Death From Above 1979 - You're A Woman, I'm Machine
Fantomas - Suspended Animation
Living Colour - 4 Never Satisfied Freinds
Quasimoto - The Unseen
The Dwarves - The Dwarves Are Young And Good Looking and The Dwarves Must Die
Fantomas - Suspended Animation
What do you think of that so far? The Bugs Bunny sample at the end makes my list of greatest album closers.

As for me:

Red Sparowes - At the Soundless Dawn
Beck - Guero
Saturday Looks Good To Me - Every Night

Yeah, they're pretty bad.

I'm listening to Devo right now... and it's putting me in a good mood.

Tomahawk 03-28-2005 10:10 PM

Kyuss are awesome, they're just different from QOTSA. Both bands rawk in different ways.

I don't think so. I just don't really see what's so great about Kyuss. Maybe I'll like them after more listening. I can't see myself ever liking them as much as QOTSA though.

Nah, I kid. I've only heard a few QOTSA songs, so I can't really judge.

But those few songs made me feel pretty much the exact opposite of what you're saying.

Little Man being Erased 03-29-2005 12:37 AM

You're missin' out. Listen to Songs for the Deaf.

br3ad_man 03-29-2005 03:46 AM

I'm listening to The Replacements, Refused and Mogwai. I'm going to listen to Lightning Bolt soon and I really want to hear the new Fantomas. Fantomas are the best thing ever when it's the first time you hear them.

I absolutely adore it. And yes, it is an amazing album closer.

Kill da wabbit.

I need to get that Fantomas Cd but I don't know if it's out here yet.

I'm digging Million Dead.

I tried digging Animals by Pink Floyd earlier, after seeing it's the only one Zappa really likes. Of all the Floyd albums I've heard, it's the worst. I also listened to a John Williams album, and it was really boring.

I've also dug Wu-Tang and Jean Michel Jarre recently.

Bartender 03-29-2005 04:07 PM

Which John Williams?
