Hell yea, it does.

I just realized you live in the same city as my aunt, Paducah that is.

Heh, that's cool. I don't actually live in Paducah, I live in Ballard County which is close to Paducah.

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-10-2005 07:04 PM

So tomorrow, my local skihill opens, meaning I get to snowboard! :w00t: Usually they don't open until after Thanksgiving, but this year, I guess they got an early snowfall. :-D

Shred Danson 11-10-2005 07:08 PM

I wish we had snow right now :(

xizoesira 11-10-2005 07:17 PM

I'm about to leave to see Broken Social Scene, hooray.

No, they're not like their name makes them sound, they're post rock.

Wow, you read my mind. :p When I read that I was thinking "Whoa, he likes punk too?" Have a great time, though. Post rockconcerts seem like they would be an amazing expirience.

jpj 11-10-2005 07:26 PM

Post-rock, not that's a genre I just can't seem to get into. Post-punk is good though.

Violent Femmes \m/

MBS 11-10-2005 07:28 PM

I don't get the difference between Post- bands. There was a thread made for that, maybe I should go searching. Farewell.

/leaves on quest

jpj 11-10-2005 07:29 PM

Just go to wikipedia and search for post-rock. It explains it quite nicely.

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-10-2005 07:31 PM

You mean you don't get the difference between post rock and regular rock?

Post rock is basically this- Very atmospheric, slow music that incorporates your typical rock insturments. Of course, there are exceptions, but this is generally the rule of defining a post rock band.

God, nevermind. My buddy is really bad with dates and times.

This is why I usually plan the shows out.

Post rock is basically music where the guitars add texture instead of melody.

Shadows 11-10-2005 08:50 PM

I don't know anything about post-genres. :(

But my spirirts are liften because I'm seeing CoB in two days and it's going to start snowing soon. :)

NP: Dimmu Borgir - Det Kye Riket

Shred Danson 11-10-2005 09:00 PM

Again, with the talk of snow! :upset:

Shadows 11-10-2005 09:03 PM

I'm sorry. :( It seems like everyone I know that doesn't gets snow wants it very badly. I love snow, so it's understandable.

Permanent Solution 11-10-2005 09:05 PM

I want snow...but I live in AZ :(

Maybe it'll be snowing over Thanksgiving though, that would be exciting.

Kingofdudes 11-10-2005 09:05 PM

It is still hot here :-/ Most people I know are still wearing shorts.

Shadows 11-10-2005 09:07 PM

I'm cold as hell up here. It pleases my blackened soul of eternal sorrow and damnation.

Storm In A Teacup 11-10-2005 09:08 PM

Oklahoma is nice and toasty still with people wearing shorts all over the place.

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-10-2005 09:12 PM
It is still hot here :-/ Most people I know are still wearing shorts.
Just because it's below zero in the mornings, (in Celcius, I'm being scientific ) doesn't mean I can't wear shorts. :hXc:/:idiot: I like going spring-snowboarding and wearing a T shirt and shorts. It always freaks out people.

Man, I'm already looking forward to the end of the season, and it's not even begun quite yet. :p

Well, I lived in the desert in Southern California for most of my life, so snow here in Kentucky would be really nice..

Permanent Solution 11-10-2005 09:15 PM

Jake: I too wear shorts regardless of weather. Even during the blizzard a few years ago. That got me some wierd looks.

Here in AZ it has dropped to 80 though, so people are bringing out the jackets and long pants in full force :-\

Shadows 11-10-2005 09:17 PM
Well, I lived in the desert in Southern California for most of my life, so snow here in Kentucky would be really nice..
Somehow I don't think snow is certain, even if you're in Kentucky now.

My town has a pretty extreme climate change over the year. Down around 0F in the winter, up around 100F in summer.

Shred Danson 11-10-2005 09:20 PM
Somehow I don't think snow is certain, even if you're in Kentucky now.
Yeah I know...though when I came here for winter break last year, it snowed about 14 inches...

Shadows 11-10-2005 09:21 PM
Yeah I know...though when I came here for winter break last year, it snowed about 14 inches...
That's pretty good for a southern state.

We usually get several feet up here.

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-10-2005 09:34 PM

Where I live, it usually only snows about 10 inches max. It rains about the same all year as well. Desert climate ++

Jom 11-10-2005 09:36 PM

I'm still rocking the hoodie and shorts combo. Why? Because I'll wear this until it snows.

NP: some mySpace band that added me randomly. They're okay.

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-10-2005 09:41 PM

I've gotten about 4 of those random band adds. It's kind of annoying, but I actually messaged one band from New Zealand, I think. They're neat guys, or at least the guy who runs their space is. :p

Spectrum 11-10-2005 09:45 PM

Most of my friends on Myspace are in fact bands. I mean, I like the bands I add (typically), and I do have a good group of friends. However, random adds (that are not bands) are generally ignored.

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-10-2005 09:49 PM

Yeah, I despise friend whores. Some idiot added me(I accepted lolol) and I swear, it seemed like every bulliten he posted said something like "Add this cool chick" or something to that effect.

I then put my block button to good use.
