Man, I want a Rondo Jazz with those Dimarzio's so bad... and this Rondo copy of a discontinued Ibanez that Larry LeLonde has, and I love.

Raven: Sounds nice. My dream bass has a MM humbucker in the sweet spot with really growly active pickup near the neck..but I don't know how that's going to work out. :p

Luke: I can't believe you leave us like that. Come back and tell the story this instant!

So me and two of my friends were driving around. (if you are against smoking, skip the next part) I was driving my friends car while he was rolling a couple doobies (haha, who calls them that anyhow?) and we smoke em and stuff, and a while later we decide we need Taco Bell. I don't want to talk to the drive-thru person, so I start to park ... but the other guys are like "no! drive through!" So I stop in the middle of the line of about 4 or 5 cars in line for the drive through, and I'm like "CHINESE FIREDRILL!" We all count "1 .... 2 ..... 3!!" And me and my friend in the passenget seat both fly at our doors super freaking fast to get out a.s.a.p .... but we didn't realize that the doors are locked when the car is on. :upset: we pretty much busted ourselves pretty good on the doors, and were struggling for like 5 seconds before we realized what was going on.

Told you it was a stupid story. Oh well. I guess you had to be there...

I've got a story...

cheesepuff 01-05-2005 03:30 AM

So, I graduated from high school last spring and spent the summer working, and trying to spend time with a girl whom I'd fallen in love with, and whose mother hated me with a passion. We fell in love with each other and communicated daily through one medium or another. At the end of the summer I left for college, and we said we'd keep in touch and talk all the time and still be close, this didn't happen at all, we spoke a handful of times after I left, all brief. I became a bit depressed about the situation, having basically lived for the moments I heard from her over the months prior. I had completely lost contact with her and all of my friends from home. I didn't really beleive college was real, I kept thinking it was like summer camp and I was just going to go back to high school at some point. I did an awful job making connections and friends and keeping them and didn't have any kind of support group. I skipped classes, didn't do work, and felt truly alone, my roommate was an alcoholic prep I couldn't stand. I did extremely poorly in alll of my classes and questioned whether or not I wanted to be in college and if my major was right for me or not. I missed a lot of work, and basically gave up on the semester, there was too much to try and do and it overwhelmed me, I had nobody at college to turn to, and I was too proud, too ashamed to ask for help. I failed three of my classes and am quite possibly failing out of college and ****ing up my entire life in one fell swoop. I'm leaving home today and not returning for a few days as I try to sort out whatever life I have left.

Alma 01-05-2005 03:33 AM

interesting story you have there

Best wishes for your journey

Dude, your definatly not alone in that situation. I've been down that road myself, even dropped out of college for a bit. I went back almost a year later though, and am finishing up a degree in cyber security. I still don't know if I want to do it though, since I ended up being touched by music and falling in love( :naughty: ).

I hope you figure this all out soon, try to take as much time as you can, but you do have to get back into a school sometime. Most schools aren't as forgiving as mine.

popinfresh 01-05-2005 04:06 AM

Just got back from our family holiday! Wasn't it fun, oh yes. Lets see, I had $1000 worth of things stolen. Pretty much ALL my clothes in my closet, including band t shirts (I had my fav rage tour t shirt in there), there was my phone and mp3 chargers (can't find another mp3 charger), a couple CD's that i bought and didn't even get to listen to, shoes and a dental plate (Worth $300, one of those clear thingy's), then theres my trademark/performance cheesecutter/flat top hat (those english ones) that was my great grandads and it was singed by all my friends/ppl that have helped me out. Also some presents i bought for my g/f and other friends/family's.

My sister lost cash, clothes, cd's, camera, souviners (sp?). Mum lost her visa, cash, keys to house and car, clothes, girly sh!t, jewerly. Dad lost clothes, phone charger, digital video cam (worth 1000) digital still camera (worth 4 or 500), his glasses, fire station keys/swipe card, other work and house keys.

They took everything we took on the trip except the clothes/phones/wallets (lucky) that we had on us. We parked in a public carpark on the second floor right near the elevator (don't know how no-one saw it). They got into the boot with a wire, took all our bags and things except my jumper (which is stupid, obviously they wern't looking for clothes then, yet 95% of the stuff they took was clothing). And if all they're going to use is the camera's (sell them anyway) then it's just pointless, they could of at least just grabbed them and left everything else. I had to go buy $350 bucks of clothes today, probably spend another 300-400 bucks replacing stuff.. plus my parents need to buy me a new plate.

It's just sad... i mean, they stole a present that i was going to give to my g/f's baby brother.. what the **** are they going to do with something like that, that's worth a couple bucks?

Meh. It's a sad, sad, world.
