I love it.

Janeway 11-04-2006 03:50 PM

I need to shower. I don't stink yet, and I could probably go all day just fine.

But I need to shower.

Time 11-04-2006 04:10 PM

im happy. i just got Meddle by Pink Floyd and The Information by Beck. Apparently Harvey Mason and Alex Acuna play on the Beck cd. its cool

maniac0796 11-04-2006 04:12 PM

I just realised the outer ply of my 13" tom has a sexy wood grain and it has a sexy finish!

Vannaroth 11-04-2006 04:12 PM

Echoes is an amazing song

Drum Phil 11-04-2006 04:16 PM

NP: Celldweller - The Last Firstborn

maniac0796 11-04-2006 04:17 PM

Is that a good metronome?

I mean, it's korg, and all i hear about korg is good things, but is that price good for what it is, or is it gonna be a piece of crap?

Berk 11-04-2006 04:27 PM

Anyone into Waking The Cadaver?

Drum Phil 11-04-2006 04:29 PM

If its anythin like what you normally post, No.

Anyone into celldweller?

Janeway 11-04-2006 04:30 PM

It looks decent. Probably not very loud, though.

I need a new metronome.

We_Love_Lime 11-04-2006 04:32 PM

I have the metronome maniac.
As Janeway said, it's not loud at all... Pretty good though.

Sunshine 11-04-2006 04:33 PM
Speaking of muse, seeing them next sat! :D

Porcupine Tree - fooking missed em

Dom is a good drummer, obviously can't play as well as Gav.
I saw Muse a buncha weeks ago.

maniac0796 11-04-2006 04:33 PM

Well, i'll probably play with headphones on, so it doesn't matter.

What are better? Vic firth ISO's or studio kans (sp?). I can get studio kans from PM, and i can't find vic firths anywhere, so at the moment i'm with SK's, but supposedly they cost alot...

Drum Phil 11-04-2006 04:34 PM

What is PM?

I should know but i cant think.

We_Love_Lime 11-04-2006 04:34 PM

Anyone into MF Doom?

Sunshine 11-04-2006 04:36 PM

Hahaha, my dad freaking loves MF Doom.

We have many CDs laying about.

Janeway 11-04-2006 04:37 PM

Headphones might not make it loud enough. I have a crappy quicktime one, and when I use headphones, it's no better than with out headphones.

Snarz 11-04-2006 04:37 PM

I think I heard the SK are good for recording...
Echoes is an amazing song
i <3 ur avatar

Here's a question. When you drumming types are trying to learn how to do polyrhythms, like five over four or whatever, how do you go about it? Do you just slow it down until you can mathematically figure out where each beat goes, or do you program it into a drum machine/PC sequencer/whatever and copy it by ear? Or what?

We_Love_Lime 11-04-2006 04:39 PM
Hahaha, my dad freaking loves MF Doom.

Haha awesome.
I have no idea what he's trying to get at in his songs though.
But I don't care.
I think I might do a report on him.

Project music, my local music store...

And janeway. I mean like, headphones with ear protectors over the top. Or, by the time i have this, something like SK's or whatnot...

Janeway 11-04-2006 04:42 PM

Edit: Nevermind. The sound only goes through one side of the headphone on that metronome. Same with mine. It makes it really hard to focus in on it.

maniac0796 11-04-2006 04:47 PM

ahhh, okay.

Hmmm. There's the option of getting a cheap one and then buying some more stuff with it, or there's the option of getting an expensive one but then having to wait to get stuff for it....

Help me MX!

Vannaroth 11-04-2006 04:48 PM

if you put the jack in half way you can make it come out both headphones

maniac0796 11-04-2006 04:48 PM

http://www.drumwright.co.uk/pages/product_detail.asp?F_ProductID=3126

Is that any better?

Personally i'd love to get the tama one, but that's like, £100

maniac0796 11-04-2006 05:11 PM

What shall i play along to tommorow and possibly record?

Skin o my teeth - megadeth
Virtual insanity - Jamiroquai
Or have a stab at the intro up to the end of the chorus of the glass prison by dream theater...?

mutant! 11-04-2006 05:26 PM

Virtual Insanity!

I love the video.

maniac0796 11-04-2006 05:46 PM

Tis an awesome video i must say.

Janeway 11-04-2006 05:57 PM

I'm thinking about getting the DB-30 one...The reviews say it's loud, and it beeps on beat one. I like that.

And I love MediaMonkey.
It's so fricken' easy to convert and tag files.

maniac0796 11-04-2006 05:59 PM

My uncle and aunt use that.

Is it free to the masses?

Janeway 11-04-2006 06:01 PM

Yeah.
Anyone into Waking The Cadaver?
I love them, the closest I've come to them personally is playing a show with a band that's good friends with them.

Sync0pation 11-04-2006 06:32 PM

I'd rather use ITunes.... I don't convert that often...

Janeway 11-04-2006 06:36 PM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3tF-nAOloY&NR

Wtf?

Sync0pation 11-04-2006 06:41 PM

That was ridiculous. I didn't know her mouth could open that much to go all around it. Well a snake has to do what it has to do.
Not to be sexually suggestive or anything....
