I have 6 classes now instead of 8. We have block schedule so I take 3 classes every day. It still may seem like a lot, but really it's a very nice break compared to a full schedule.

I still have eight classes a day. My one friend who's a senior is taking the bare minimum of 5.4 credits.

I was at work tonight chopping raw chicken with a rather large knife, than the power went off for 20 min. It was sweet.

I got today day of because it was freezing rain and the power was off for a while in the morning. It's thunderstorming out right now.

Thunderstorms in Febuary in Canada make things messed up.


I read and occasionally posted on MX when the power wasn't out. I also wathced the first period of the Canada/Germany hockey game but than the pwer went out and when it came back on my work called me in.

I also posted my Tonight's the Night review which was okay.

Its 35 below here. I get Monday off, I'm really cold. Luckly we fixed one of our heaters earlier today or else I would be dead.

I really like the Kahvas Jute album, I listened to it in my car today. It was fairly straight forward, but still quality.

There's a small used cd store in Vancouver I go to sometime. And the owner is this really cool guy in his '50s named Scotty, real nice guy, we always talk about music whenever I drop in and stuff. I just read in the paper he has cancer :upset: He might only have a few months to live :(

My neighbor, a man I knew since I was like four, and like a family member, died in November because of cancer of the brain. It was so sudden and shocking, unbelievable. Sorry man, I know that cancer's a terrible thing. My respects to the man.

I'm still in 9th grade in some tiny private school in some tiny town in some state called North Carolina that no one's ever heard of or cares about. FTW.

Damn, missed the algebra discussion. We just did that stuff about a month ago, right now we're on radicals, which is easy as hell. But the hardest chapter we've done was the one we just did, which combined solving cubic and higher degree equations and synthetic/long division of equations by binomials. Ghey. I got an 83 on the test because I missed about half the class discussion from being out, plus I didn't bother to study or even read the chapter. Normally I make high As.

Well I remember seeing it around right when I joined MX. So that was probably around April or March, then I just saw it in Rolling Stone about 2 weeks ago.
Ya sometimes it gives me a good song or two, but nothing I haven't heard before.

That Best Covers Poll is just dumb... its not official at all to my knowing the guy doing it has hardly any organization going on. I'm surprised it got this far. I recognised from the beggining and that base line, but at first I thought it was MIB. Then when the chorus bit came in I realised what it was.

The sad thing is...I'm finished highschool math completely and I still have no clue which formula goes with which type of question. I got an A in every math class I took yet if you asked me any of it I most likely won't remember learning it. Oh well...who needs it anyways. Although I'm kinda scared because I have to take one math class in University in order to get my degree. I was hoping an Arts degree wouldn't include any math courses...but they slipped one in there those bastards. I already reached my peak of what I can possibly learn or remember in math.

I decided to learn the solo for No Woman No Cry tonight...I've listened to a lot of Bob Marley today and that was the one thing I felt intent to learn.

I am so horrifically bad at math (and science) it's embarassing.

If you've got a good teacher, science can blow your mind. Learning about how the universe works and **** like that can be fascinating. Although science is usually associated with lots of work, hard exams, and assholish teachers.

Who do you guys think the smartest "classic rocker" was? Zappa was pretty intelligent, Thom Scholz was like a tech whiz...I dunno who else.

I think Zappa is smart in the same sense Bob Dylan is smart, they were both very aware of whats going on and why that is. Not book smarts, I can't think of any CR'ers off the top of my head who strike me as very smart.

Anyways, im into Ozzy/Black Sabbath, Nirvana, Metallica, SOME of Green Day's stuff, Pink Floyd, some Def Leppard, Aerosmith, Motley Crew, Creed, AC/DC, Some of Godsmack's stuff, some of Beastie Boy's stuff, Guns 'N Roses, Public Enemy, Megadeth, Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Alice in Chains, you get the idea. Lately Ive been gettin somewhat into rock bands like Nickelback and 3 doors down, I like the sound of their music, really clear and nice to listen to. Any1 have any suggestions as to other bands that fit under their genre that I may be interested in? Any help would be appreciated. Thx have a good 1!

A good start would be the Beatles, don't bother with Nickleback until Chad learns to write different songs, they are just like a new ACDC. Try Muse, Weezer, the Pixies, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Vines, The Strokes, Incubus, RHCP, Third Eye Blind, Deftones, Audioslave, Blur, Slayer, Boston, Cream, [B]Jane's Addiction[/B] ([I]Strays[/I] if you want pure rock.), Hot Hot Heat, The White Stripes; I'm sure you've heard of all those bands but they are all pretty good bands who are easy to get into, most of them would be something you'd like I think judging by those other bands you listed.

Oh and check out Sunny Day Real Estate.

Thanks man, greatly appreciated. Was startin to get just a tad bored listening to the same bands over n over. Want something similar but different, thanks for the suggestions, looking into it :thumb:
