Training yourself to endure pain, the relief that comes at the end feels like the sweetest reward.

I sort of use it as a way to atone for all the shit that happens in day to day life by the end of one of my sessions i'm feeling like i've paid for my daily sins and like a normal human being again rather than full of emotional conflict for one reason or another unable to think straight.

Hell its probably the same logic wristcutters go through, I don't feel that kind of self-loathing though (if anything I think too highly of myself I like to knock myself down off that self-aggrandizing podium from time to time). I get pretty violent with myself when I masturbate and have only had one experience with a girl into that sort of thing, she understood my needs perfectly and well, it was agonising bliss.
