Except if you were to swing that at someones face, that piece of steel holding the mirror up would break, making the mirror fall to the ground, unleashing a renegade laser beam that would probably kill hundreds of people.

So it's not really a lightsaber.

That's the point I argued, but it essentially what a light saber is.

A saber (Sword) of energy (light).

But you're right, it's just not the same.

In a real lightsaber there's the two crystals inside that control the colour and the length.

If you could find these crystals you could probably do it. Until then it would just be a forever moving beam of energy.

I need to find an infinite source of energy, first off. Maybe solar rays? Next time the sun releases solar gases, I need to somehow capture them, so I will need some sort of space craft. This is going to be tough.

After that, I will need focusing crystals, from the planet Ilum or Ruusaan, which I dont think actually exist. Sith lords can make synthetic crystals though, so I need to learn how to do that.
