Somehow that seems suspicious.

But okay!

Spectrum 11-09-2005 02:27 PM

I like your new avatar, Superpeer. That's a great piece of art, in my opinion.

Also, earlier today, I was violated in an unseemly and unexpected manner by a Calculus test. From behind.

I used to love Calculus in high school...

I could've gotten tickets to go see Nile...didn't have a ride though. :upset:

Going to see Sonata Arctica instead though. :D

Stupid evil Chem quarterly tomorrow...however, it will be the shortest test we've ever had in Chem. Only 1 period. :D

Shadows 11-09-2005 03:16 PM

How many periods does it usually take? I had a chem test today. It was insanely hard. :(

Wierd, I had a chemistry test today too. I hate my teacher. Not only does she suck at teaching and makes the course impossibly hard, but she can't speak fucking english.

the2stranger 11-09-2005 03:58 PM

ok
I can go to bed now, my task for today is complete:
4400th post :)

tomorrow school, after that picking up my GF and going to some demo of a new keyboard, which should be fun

night night MX!

I don't like my teacher much either. Whenever we get confused about something and ask questions all she says is "come on guys, it's not that hard!". As if that helps. She's nice enough, but sucks at teaching.

Much thanks for the new IF Bobo. :)

Whats sixth-form?

Josh 11-09-2005 04:20 PM

^^6th form is post-16 education here, it's not compulsory. i think it's called 6th form cos traditionally you went to high school for 5 compulsory years, then your 6th year was optional.

for A/S i did physics, geography and maths, and french as well but no exams in it. then i dropped maths for this year, and i'm doing the A/S and A2 french exams all at once.
very few people i know have offers so far, for some reasons uni's are desperate to get me
NP: GNR - Think about you.

EDIT: need sleep, i'm still ill. bye all

So 6th form is for 16 year olds. If I lived in the UK, I woul be in 7th form because Im 17. Am I right or wrong about this?

cos you know that i can 11-09-2005 04:35 PM

Ah, but 6th form encompasses two years. So in your sixth year of secondary education, you are said to be in Lower Sixth, and in your year now, you'd be in Upper Sixth.

It's based on how schools were in my parents' generation, and it didn't make too much sense even then...

I still have no idea how the American education system works anyhow. But I've to be off for bed. 'Night all

The Sixth Form bit is confusing. When you start secondary school, aged 10/11, you're in Year 7. Next year, Year 8, then Year 9, etc, up to eleven. Then Sixth Form covers what would be years 12 and 13, if you carried it on.
