Illmatic 08-31-2005 12:40 AM
Illmatic sometimes does it too but it's mostly just you.
In all fairness, I really don't do that anymore.
Rock IQ quiz. I got 7/10 :D

http://encarta.msn.com/encnet/features/quiz/?page=RockstarINXS&quizid=185&PKG=package3
I got 6/10, BUT they messed one up. They said there's a Bon Jovi song called Shot Through The Heart, when the title is really You Give Love A Bad Name.

Badmoon 08-31-2005 06:50 AM
He's not the only that has lost all credibility......

:p Kidding....(even though I highly disagree)

But seriously: Why do you get mad every time someone disagrees with your opinion? Your opinions aren't facts you know and you usally do present them as if they were facts. Illmatic sometimes does it too but it's mostly just you.
No, you think they're facts. I state them as opinions. Most of those are jokes anyway if not opinions that are completely non-offensive. Let's think this through.

1. John Candy > All - I was not disagreeing with anyone, that what I thought. You pulled that out of no where.
but yea, expect a hack in the near future.
Obviously a joke. If I hacked him hear, I would be outlawed from MX.
I shouldn't read this, being that you've lost all respect and credibility from your last few posts
...he's an idiot. And even though I'm kidding around, I don't see anyone going after him from making random claims to piss me off....hmmm maybe it's a joke .

And you use to get in fights with everyone.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 08-31-2005 11:10 AM

You were acted like you weren't joking but whatever.
1. John Candy > All - I was not disagreeing with anyone, that what I thought. You pulled that out of no where.
I was saying he's not the only one has lost all credibility because you said "John Candy > All" but I was clearly just kidding. (even though I strongly disagree)
And you use to get in fights with everyone.
I could use a good fight though. I miss having weekly fights with you. :(

:p

I have my road test this afternoon  I have to leave in like 15 minutes.

I watched Blues Brothers again last night, 2nd time is just as good. John Belushi is the coolest actor/actress in the movie IMO.

np- Isn't It A Pity

Endless Obsession 08-31-2005 12:21 PM

5/10, pretty good for a metal-head.
I've noticed kids only liking popular and well known Classic Rock bands, like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, ect...

They missout on some of the greatest lesser known Classic rock bands. Like The Byrds, or Buffalo Springfield, Big Brother and Holding Company, The Velvet Underground, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Van Morrison, ect. Most of those bands were pretty big in their day, but the kids these days aren't looking for those bands. Usually, they are looking for the heavier, or louder types, but that's only the kids I know.
Crosy, Stills, Nash and Young rocks...love Neil Young

Gris-gris is a masterpiece, and when I first brought it here, none of you liked it.
When you introduced it I wasn't downloading music, and now I am, and I downloaded it because I thought if you thought so highly of it, it's worth listening to. Thanks for the recomendation

/gives credit

thickasabrick 08-31-2005 01:09 PM

I've got two Bluesbrothers albums on vinyl, the first one has all their songs from the movie, and the other one they released later on. Both are very good rhythm and blues albums.

When was that Badmoon quote from?? ^^ First page?

Today was my first day back at school, and I had the best homework assignment for Philosophy: Listen to DSOTM and find the philisolphical undertones present. The teacher then proceeded to distribute 25 burned copies of remasterd DSOTM Cd's. I will finally have revenge upon my nerdy friends with this teacher, muhahahahaha

Psychedelic music sucks, it's all just a bunch of random bullshit being blurted out by some stupid cunt that's so blasted out of his mind he rubs tater tots all over his face (ie. that fucking limey bastard Syd Barret you like to call a musical genius).

That should get him going.

Glitterati 08-31-2005 01:49 PM

Only one class I'm looking forward to, Popular America Music and it's influence on US History. It's the first time the school is offering this class, so it'll cool. The rest of my schedule sucks though.

Walrus Gumboot 08-31-2005 02:55 PM

That's amazing. I wish we had courses like guitar or anything on pop culture, but then again, its a relatively small public school, so they don't offer much. Really, REALLY good teachers though

7/10

PinkFreud 08-31-2005 02:58 PM

one of my friends is taking a course titled rock music. in college.

robo2448 08-31-2005 03:21 PM

I just reviewed All Things Must Pass, that took a while. It was my first review, so it has to be approved before it's posted. I don't know how long that'll take.

The DSOTM assignment sounds cool, but I don't think I could get excited about a highschool schedule. I've got Music, French, Chemistry and Physics first semester.

I'd like to see it.

I'm going to be taking AP Music Theory, to help my guitar skills :)

Me too, but not just for guitar.

(I'm in band, therefore can already read music quite easily, so this class should be easy)

Same :p

Plus it's AP, so if I ace it I get 4 instead of 3 for GPA.

BigTrav415 08-31-2005 04:15 PM

4/10... I didn't know about a lot of the bands they talked about. I can't think of anything else to add, so... Been hooked on some Meddle right now, listened to it during study hall today. One of These Days is so different fromt he rest of Floyd's stuff... and so fucking awesome too :thumb: Echoes is an awesome song as well... and Fearless... and Pillow of WInds... and San Tropez... and Seamus isn't bad... Hell, the whole album kicks ass :smoke:

Broken Arrow 08-31-2005 04:16 PM
