The other members of the band have led Gorgoroth in such an awful direction... even though King is a badass.

The point is he formed the band and named it and has always been in it, he deserves the rights to the name regardless of whether he is a tool blah blah...

and I think despite him not contributing much over the past couple of albums, the majority of Gorgoroth's material has been written by him.

I'll sum it up like this, traits of black metal =

-Harsh/high pitched raspy vocals
-Raw production quality
-Blast Beats/Tremolo guitars
-Occult/satanic themes

That's a really basic description but yeah.

Black metal is for people who don't know how the hell to play their instruments so they just play beginner riffs on high distortion to a drum machine and scream over it.

You forgot satan. Death metals basically the same thing but with more chugging and its influenced by chainsaws instead of satan.

I can understand where both sides are coming from. Here's what I don't get...

If Infernus was truly concerned with the work that he put into forming Gorgoroth and the rights to the name and the material, why hasn't he made a point of making a deal about it? I haven't seen a single statement from his or his lawyers about the issue at all, which leads me further to believe that he really doesn't care, in which case he doesn't deserve anything anyway.

However, morally, I do think that people have a point when they say Infernus holds the rights to the name, and that Gaahl and King don't have the right to claim themselves as Gorgoroth and fire Infernus.

However, you also have to understand that over the past several years, as the name Gorgoroth has becom more widely known, Gaal has become slightly more well known as the face of Gorgoroth in the minds of the public, therefore giving him a slight legal edge that can't really be argued. Add that to the fact that Infernus truly was ditching out on rehearsals, breaking contractual obligations, etc., and Gaahl and King have a valid point as well.

Ultimately, while I do to some extent pity Infernus for what has happened, I can't help but think that he brought it upon himself and has no one to blame, and perhaps he does deserve everything he is having to deal with.

Everybody cums all over Hvis lyset tar oss, but I found it to be pretty boring. There are a few really good parts though.

I sleep to Burzum a lot.

Try out [I]Det Som Engang Var[/I], it's my favorite, not nearly as repetitive as Hviss.

Meh, I guess [I]Daudi Baldrs[/I] is the only boring album, I mean [I]Filosofem [/I]has the ambient stuff but I don't usually listen to that at the same time when I'm listening to the black metal songs.

Hvis Lyset Tar Oss is the only Burzum I sleep to. I usually sleep to music every night; it's mainly Agalloch (Tomorrow Will Never Come) or funeral doom.

Sometimes the silence is too loud, if you know what I mean. If everything is silent, it lets my mind wander to everything that's stressing me out, and I'll never go to sleep. Add that to the fact that I only get like 3 hours of sleep a night anyway, and I really need something to calm me down.
