Then you haven't missed much. |
Oh by the way, The Who Sings My Generation is a fantastic album.
Yea, the shallow part of my brain still likes her, but past that I really don't like her anymore and don't want anything to do with her.
That happens to everybody. I would be lying if I said that didn't happen sometimes when I think of my exes. I don't think you can ever actually completely get over a girl. It's just not possible. Also, two developments. One will only effect me, the other may effect the rest of you 1) that friend who I've been telling you all about, she has a boyfriend now! that brings up some mixed feelings in me, personally. 2) FOX is going to run "American Dad" in "Arrested Development"'s timeslot at least next Sunday, maybe for longer. This sucks, because "Arrested Development" is a very funny TV show and "American Dad" blows. |
What can I say?
Sports were my first love....music came in after my friends introduced me to weed in 8th grade.
Nah, I think that's a good mix. I don't think people should exhibit only one side, they need to be as multi-dimensioned as they wish to be (or can handle)... so, the arts (either fine arts or performing arts), sports, academics, social qualities, etc., I would say are important characteristics one should have.
I don't think anyone actually assumes people will remain friends when they start dating. It's widely known that once two friends make the leap into a couple, there's really no turning back. The only friends that survived a breakup were Jerry and Elaine on "Seinfield", and they were fictional characters on a TV show for shit's sake. I'll tell you what's wierd: when two of your friends date and then break up. That happened to me this year. I had no idea whose side to take.
Heh, maybe I'm just oblivious to things like that... it just always seems that when friends begin dating, people say, "Aww, I'm happy for them, but if things falter, then they can still be good friends." I'm just saying I hate people like that. That is indeed a weird and uncomfortable situation to be in... especially if both of them come to you and tell you different sides of the story. It's hard to be unbiased, I suppose.
That's a very interesting fact I learned about you just now.
If by "interesting" you mean "fun," then outstanding  That site I got it from is really obscure... I linked to it a few pages ago (EDIT: Here it is again, for the sake of things being easier), along with Exploding Dog. EDIT:
that friend who I've been telling you all about, she has a boyfriend now! that brings up some mixed feelings in me, personally.
I guess I don't blame you after all you guys have been through as friends and helping her out and how you say she felt that you "abandoned" her to go to uni. I mean, maybe it'll be good for her, but I can imagine that you want what's best for her, and you don't want the guy to be some total douche who treats her like crap, I'd imagine. |

Yea, I still get that too. |
"Toothpaste For Dinner"? "Exploding Dog"?
Nothing I love more than those quirky, offbeat blog names!
Nah, I think that's a good mix. I'm just saying I hate people like that.
Well, yes, there are people like that in every situation. The term for them is "Stupid people".
That is indeed a weird and uncomfortable situation to be in... especially if both of them come to you and tell you different sides of the story. It's hard to be unbiased, I suppose.
That is precisely what happened. It turned into "He said, she said"...I didn't know who was telling me the truth (or the closest to it), so I had to stand back and be an impartial observer, which was tough because I consider both parties to be good friends. Man, sometimes I feel like Morgan Freeman, just a brother who has the misfortune of having to sit and listen to white people's problems :p
I think American Dad will be good for a while. They will probally find room for Arrested Development, they wouldn't drop it.
From what I have seen, American Dad is horrible...a second-rate Family Guy with dated political humor. "Osama, is that you?" all they were missing was an Al Gore recount joke. |
I probably wouldn't enjoy American Dad, cause it's made by the writers of Family Guy.
|
American Dad = less-funny version of Family Guy. The animation/style/etc.. is too similar to Family Guy.
|
I'm not into shit like The Simpsons, Family Guy, and especially not Futurama.
|
I think it will have a good run for a while, but I don't think it will get past the fall.
"Toothpaste For Dinner"? "Exploding Dog"?
Nothing I love more than those quirky, offbeat blog names!
Well, they're comic sites, not blog things. My friend just recommended them to me because they have good pictures for backgrounds... so I checked them out. Toothpaste for Dinner has some pretty amusing captions, but Exploding Dog is just too weird for my tastes. With the latter, you e-mail a title to the author, and he constructs a drawing using your title. He really contorts your title, though... for example, if you said, "Rain pounding on my door," he would draw raindrops knocking on your door. He also seems to take suicide a bit lightly, and even though it's a cartoon... it's just... bizarre.
I'm Morgan Freeman.
Nice. Can I be Jim Carrey? |
I guess I don't blame you after all you guys have been through as friends and helping her out and how you say she felt that you "abandoned" her to go to uni. I don't know for sure if she actually feels that way...that's just me putting unnecessary guilt and burden on myself. I seem to do that a lot. I'm not sure why. The thing that worries me the most about this situation is that I fear that she'll turn to the boyfriend more than me for the advice. It sounds selfish, I know. But I probably know more about her than this guy ever will :-\
Nice. Can I be Jim Carrey?
:gasp: Are you implying that I am God? I have to say, I'm more than flattered. I was thinking you could be more like Tim Robbins in The Shawshank Redemption. Or Brad Pitt in Se7en Or Denzel in Glory (erm, scratch that one) Or Ben Affleck in The Sum Of All Fears  |
I would not do a blog. People would make fun of me if they knew how rediculous my thoughts are.
Seriously, I think about candyhearts, desperation, prime cuts, KBalls, and Marilyn Monroe all day, and it's kinda pathetic. |
Well, I restrict my blog so that only people I know can read what I have to say.
I'm God.
That's what I thought you were implying by when you said you were Morgan Freeman and having to deal with peoples' issues. I don't blame you for feeling that, really. ///
And I really hate to do this, but I have to whore my Sputnik reviews one last time, because I hate taking over two hours to write each review and only get two or three comments in each thread :( Even if you hate Sputnik and/or the bands I reviewed, please take the time to read and comment there, because it'd mean a lot to me, and I'd genuinely appreciate it. (a) EDIT: I'm tired as hell, and it's going to be a long weekend, so I should get some sleep. I'll speak to most of you soon, so good night. |
I have a blog in a way...but not an "emo" blog where I explain my day every day to people who don't care and post crappy lyrics. Mainly a thing to just keep up with my friends and stuff of that sort since we are all busy now.
I also have to say Ulver's Perdition City is my new favorite album right now, and it's not even a metal album, it's a trip hop/electronica album. Only thing that sucks about it though, Garm doesn't use his incredible voice much on it though... |
That's what I thought you were implying by when you said you were Morgan Freeman and having to deal with peoples' issues.
Oh no, when I think of Morgan Freeman helping people out, I think Red helping Andy Dufresne get by in Shawshank Prison, or crutsy detective William Somerset working alongside David Mills to catch serial killer John Doe Bruce Almighty never happened, in my book :( I'd comment, but I don't even know who those bands are. Night. |

Ulver - Porn Piece Or The Scars Of Cold Kisses Check it out and tell me what you think, it's an awesome song. /has to jet for a few. /please check it out, it's nothing heavy, just electronica stuff |
Well, today was interesting.
The whole band decided to enjoy our Friday night, so we called up our usual dealer to buy a 20-sack. A couple hours later, Josh and Krista drove off to go pick it up, and Seth, Danielle and I were left at the house. I went into the band room to play guitar for a few minutes, and when I walked back into Josh's room, Seth just about his hand down Danielle's pants. A quick insert: We have a very strict band rule about relationships in the group. We've made it three and a half years without a problem, so I can't figure out why there's one now. I went outside to think about what I walked in on and have a cigarette, and while I was out there, Josh and Krista pulled up. After they told me we were having some problems getting our shizzle, I told them about what happened. We decided (Josh and I) that I should give Seth a lesson in respect. We went back inside and back to Josh's room. I told Seth to stand up, so he stands up. I tell him to walk up close to me, so he does. Then I tell him, "Look me straight in the eyes and tell me you didn't break our number one rule." He can't tell me and keep eye contact. I shrug my shoulders and sock him one. He looked like he was ready to fight back when Danielle jumped up between us. After pushing her out of the way and then having her tell me that if I touched her again she was going to punch me in the face, it turned into a bout of words. Now that all is said and done, we have practice again in three days. This should be interesting. |
Dee is still posting here?
Yes, I am. Deal with it. |
This was the most interesting part of my day:
Me: Andrew, tie my mothafuckin' shoe. Some kid: Who's Andrew? Me: You're Andrew, now tie my mothafuckin' shoe. Some kid: I'm not Andrew Me: Well you look like an Andrew, so tie my mothafuckin' shoe. Kristin: Wookie. Me: He's Wookie? |
You're kidding right?
|
Hmm, I probably would too. One time a random guy on the street tried to sell my brother shoes at like eleven PM in a bad neighborhood.
|
Two one-word posts in a row? Come on, Ren, we're trying to cut down on spam.
Anyhow, that sounds like quite a situation. I'd like to hope that this was just two people trying to get off with each other and not a relationship. I want this so badly |
A funny thouhgt, in bad neighborhoods he's offered shoes at night. Then he gets robbed at midnight like twelve feet from our house.

That's quite the dent in your wallet, son. http://tinypic.com/4l2440 |
We're out of lemonade again, so it's time for the 2 AM milk binge.
And tonight, I believe I'll add french bread and Doritos. Yeahhhh. |
Haha you really like basketball don't you?
What tipped you off? And Efil: I know, I know. I guess there's always eBay. And I do have rich relatives, so I could beg to them. |
