O, Kwel. I Got it from the internets =/
No worries, they just want their music heard. |
Ah, well someone reviewed their album on the review site and I honestly got it because I liked the album cover =P I like the music too tho.

Radiohead's Hail to the thief. Very underrated album.
|
The new Meat Puppets is pretty good after one listen. It follows Rise to Your Knees like one would imagine and seems to be mostly in that same, more mellow style. It's not Up on the Sun or II, but that's not a condemnation by any means.

is it as good of a comeback album as Beyond?
|
Well I thought Rise to Your Knees was more their comeback album. I'm listening to that again right now. Sewn Together seems like a logical Meat Puppets progression, but their last two albums haven't been quite as effective at making a really powerful, similarly-styled comeback like D Jr did. The music is still good, but the albums aren't really in the same crazed style that pervades on older ones. Beyond is hard to top in terms of a comeback album, so I'd have to say that Rise to Your Knees and Sewn Together are admirable and worthy efforts, but not quite as booming as everyone might like. It's hard to say, ya know?

Slowdive - Pygmalion
|
Spoon - Kill the Moonlight
Spoon - Gimme Fiction I've liked spoon for about 6 years but never had any of the albums on my computer. I'm glad I fixed that. |
Rise To Your Knees was pretty good, but Sewn Together hardly has anything of merit on it at all.
