if I were to recommend a trio of TECHNICAL DEATH METAL BANDS (not bullshit bands, aka, bands that I think adb will definitely dislike):

Suffocation
Pestilence
Atheist

bottom line is gorod isn't wanky, their new stuff is just faster because they got a competent drummer (that chick fucking sucked), her inability to play at faster tempos held the band back

I can't really get into death metal. I got those albums you guys reccomend me and listened to them all at least 5 times but I just can't get into it. I have immolation, petilence, sororicide and some others. I like sororicide the best of those. I liek black metal a lot but I dunno I guess DM might just not be for me. I dont hate it but i can't get into it. What do you guys suggest I do?

I guess try some stuff with a black or thrash vibe sort of stuff like early Destroyer 666, Nunslaughter, Belphegor and Sarcofago

and rasputin, i think you're right. I think I would like it if I listen to it more. As you guys know I mostly listen to punk and hardcore but I like bm, thrash and nwobhm so I think I should like dm. I'm going to listen to those albums I have more and I think I"ll eventually like it.

I usually have to listen to a new genre for a while before i really get into it. I used to not like Black Flag's [I]Damaged[/I] when I first heard it but it has really grown on me and became one of my favorite albums.
