So my halloween was fairly lame, went to the big school sponsored party thing where all the girls try to dress as slutty as possible, and all the guys as stupid as possible, then tried to procure certain things...which failed. Then we played video games and fell asleep.

Dave*Grohl 11-01-2006 04:51 AM

We don't celebrate halloween here in Finland. I remember when i was young and we lived in the usa, I wen't trick or treating as Batman and one time as a cowboy...those were the days

We_Love_Lime 11-01-2006 07:41 AM

halloween is stupid.
Americans have a skewed view of religious holidays.
Trick or Treaters should only be like 9 years old and below.

Bonham#1! 11-01-2006 09:27 AM

There werent very many kids this year.
Awesome vid! Thanks
Isnt it? I love the solo at the end.

Halloween has got to be one of my favorite DMB songs.

EDIT: I now have a few kits I wouldnt mind owning...

-Mapex Saturn
Studio (2 up 2 down)
Cherry Sparkle (I usually dont favor sparkles, but this is just too glorious)

I still have my dream Odery, but this is way more in my range, still out though.

Sunshine 11-01-2006 10:24 AM

Pfft.

Trick-or-treating at 9 and below?

What are you, nuts?

I woulda gone this year if I wasn't helping my friend with her haunted house...thing. It was my last chance, you don't really get to go trick-or-treating in college, far as I know.

Bonham#1! 11-01-2006 11:16 AM

Yeah. This year was my last year. Even thouh I'm only 14 soon to be 15 I am kinda to old. I think 16 should be "the limit"

Dave*Grohl 11-01-2006 12:12 PM

I hate winter. It has been snowing all day and we have got 40-50cm of snow today.

It took me 2½ hours to get rid of the snow on our yard. And now i've gotta study swedish since i have a test tomorrow. But now since im here, I'll prolly jsut hang rest of the evening surfing the forums and not studying....well i'm gonna suck anyway. Swedish sucks

Bonham#1! 11-01-2006 12:14 PM

In Finland you need to learn Swedish?

Dave*Grohl 11-01-2006 12:19 PM

Yeah. Were a bilingual country. Swedish is our other official language.

Jezen 11-01-2006 12:34 PM

I got a Motorola L6 in Blue on Monday, and I also got an Advent laptop. So proud.

1.6 Ghz Celeron-M
60Gb S-ATA HDD
128mb AVG
512 DDR RAM
DVD R/RW
15" wide

Yeah. Were a bilingual country. Swedish is our other official language.
Norweigen and danish are better than swedish. I have no experience with finnish. But i was speaking to my polish friend about it, and he said it's like no other language in the world. Cos norweigen, swedish, danish, german, and english are all pretty similar, but finnish has nothing to compare to.

And nice buys on the phone and laptop. I have the L7 (one up from yours) but the only advantage to that is that it's like, 0.0000001MM thinner or something.

Yeah I guess finnish is kinda an unique language. They say it's one of the hardest languages to learn. I fawking hate swedish, it sounds so lame and I just hate everything about it. I rally should go study so i would get a decent score tomorrow.

Dave*Grohl 11-01-2006 02:21 PM

Cocaberry3 11-01-2006 02:23 PM

Yay?

maniac0796 11-01-2006 02:23 PM

Spose thats what you get for living near the north pole. But then again, i expect finland, norway and sweden have some of the highest suicide rates in the world.

I think it's norway that has the highest in the world...

in 2000, russia had the highest for men, and lithuania had the highest for women.

Dave*Grohl 11-01-2006 02:24 PM

Finland doesnt have high suicide rates me thinks

Cocaberry3 11-01-2006 02:26 PM

Hey, have any of you ever heard of this book "Stick Control for the Snare Drummer"? It's by George L. Stone. Awesome for padwork. Tons of patterns to work through. That book is never-ending.

Go get yourself a copy off eBay. Then grab a pad, some real sticks, a click, and practice.

maniac0796 11-01-2006 02:28 PM

Yup. Unfortunatly, no one near where i live stocks it, and i keep forgetting to order it off the internet. I did though, nearly buy louis belsons rudiment and snare book, but i was a couple of quid short.

Dave*Grohl 11-01-2006 02:32 PM

I've never seen stick control in finland either, i've kept an eye out for it. I know my local drumshop would propably order it for me if i asked but i have a good rudiment/drumset book that i work on. It's made by a finnish jazz drummer called Leevi Leppänen. It a really good book

Thats funny, because that page was put up on the 30th of October.

You were banned for a reason, get the **** out of here. Nobody likes you, and the fact that you have gone out of your way to create 2 extra accounts to post on a forum where everyone hates you speaks volumes.

Dave*Grohl 11-01-2006 03:13 PM

oh, I've never seen it before. Thanks for posting vannaroth
