How many movies has Tarentino done?

MBS 02-11-2006 11:47 AM
I like both Kill Bill films quite a bit; especially Vol. 2. Michael Madsen and David Carradine really make that movie.
I agree, David Carradine was perfect for his role.
How many movies has Tarentino done?
Well, Kill Bill Vol 1 said "The 4th Film By Quentin Tarentino" so I'm guessing 5. 6, if you include Hostel, or that movie he helped with. I forgot the title, but I think it's hostel.

Badmoon 02-11-2006 11:50 AM
How many movies has Tarentino done?
Well, it's kind of hard to say which movies are his and which aren't, being that he did not always, direct and write them. So, instead I'll put a link.

This stupid Rapidshare isn't working for me.

Anyone who finds some good stuff from that site will be rewarded for uploading any of it.

ATM 02-11-2006 11:51 AM

I've never seen Kill Bill.

Illmatic 02-11-2006 11:52 AM

You aren't missing out on much.

PinkFreud 02-11-2006 11:52 AM

he only "produced hostel."

reservoir dogs
pulp fiction
jackie brown
kill bill 1
kill bill 2

he's also got two on the way or something.

i like all except true romance. reservoir dogs is getting there too. pulp fiction is still as good as it ever was. true romance just seems hollow and the actiing is uninspired.

Badmoon 02-11-2006 11:53 AM

Do you like Jackie Brown?

WelcomeToTheMachine 02-11-2006 11:55 AM

Its probbably because you have to wait 70 minutes between each download which blows

i downloaded all of the Jade Warrior, its all really good.

Broken Arrow 02-11-2006 11:56 AM

Did you get Thick's email?

If not I'll forward it too you, if you did I'm uploading the other half of the album.

I wonder why it's not working for you? You do have to wait for like 40 seconds until these letters/numbers come up than you type them in and it should work.

Welcome to the Machine, upload maybe?

PinkFreud 02-11-2006 11:56 AM

my bad, he only wrote true romance. robert rodriguez directed it, i think?

jackie brown was ok. i didnt think it was outstanding or anything.

my favorite director remains martin scorcese. you can't argue with a resume like his.

goodfellas
casino
raging bull
gangs of new york
taxi driver
mean streets

among others. i wasnt so hot on the aviator though.

edit: with rapidshare, if you wait too long to type in the letters & numbers it'll say that the download session is invalid and you have to do it again.

Broken Arrow 02-11-2006 11:58 AM

+ the Last Waltz and No Direction Home ;)

WelcomeToTheMachine 02-11-2006 11:58 AM

Yeah ill upload all 3 Livewired

PinkFreud 02-11-2006 11:59 AM
+ the Last Waltz and No Direction Home ;)
truth. he's great. and he's never won a best director oscar. sad times.

JonG 02-11-2006 12:03 PM

Tony Scott actually. The guy who directed Domino and Top Gun.
goodfellas

I really liked The Aviator, I thought that deserved Best Picture of 2004 or Eternal Sunshine.

As far as the rest of the films go, I love some of the acting in Gangs of New York, and believe that Harvey Keitel's the true star in Mean Streets. And of course, then rest of the movies are classics.

I plan on putting up my RYM list for anyone that wants anything, I still kind of owe you guys (Jon especially) for not putting up Elevation. I'm trying to upload it now though.

JonG 02-11-2006 12:13 PM

I ended up finding it, which I thought was cool.

:)

The only other album I wanted from you was the SCI album on your Top 25 albums.

I'll upload Crosscut Saw - Mad, Bad, and Dangerous To Know

PinkFreud 02-11-2006 12:16 PM

ugh. and man on fire? ridiculous. harvey keitel's acting is usually great. especially in mean streets and taxi driver.

i definitely thought he should have won best director for gangs of new york.

JonG 02-11-2006 12:24 PM

I love Gangs of New York. It's a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio that I can stand.

The guy on the album of the Crosscut Saw album looks surprisingly like Johnny Winter.

MBS 02-11-2006 12:35 PM

Can anyone upload "In The Court of The Crimson King", "Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1", and Vai's "Passion and Warfare"? I'll upload something in return (tomorrow or Monday)

Oh and the Who Live At Leeds por favor :)

I'll upload Try!, Hot Rats (for those who don't have it), and a couple of TSO albums in return?

Badmoon 02-11-2006 12:46 PM

Born on the Wrong Planet is uploading.

Does anyone have Uncle Tupelo - Still Feel Gone.

I'd give anything for that album.

I have a good amount of Grateful Dead I think..

Check my list, it's up there.

I have most of it, not the whole thing though. And I like to have the whole album from the same master, in other words, not a bunch of seperate songs put in the right order, but all ripped from the same CD. I find the overall quality and sound is more consistent that way.

MBS 02-11-2006 01:47 PM

My copy is ripped directly from my Sgt. Peppers CD.

Krabsworth 02-11-2006 01:50 PM

MBS, are you going to upload all of that list?

MBS 02-11-2006 01:53 PM
MBS, are you going to upload all of that list?
Travs? Heh, no, I don't think my poor bandwidth can take that much at one time. I've promised a lot of uploads, so I'm uploading everything before I download.

I'll get him Sgt. Peppers and Atom Heart Mother tomorrow.

Edit: and MidnightRider, I haven't gotten around to your Buckley uploads, but I'm uploading Grace for the Daily Upload so I'll send you that, okay?

I'm gonna upload Friday Night in San Francisco for those who don't have it, it's one of my favorite acoustic albums ever.

/has a list of 6 or 7 uploads

MBS 02-11-2006 02:01 PM

I love this thread. We're like our own underground mailing list, and no one signs up for it because no one ever checks out the thread.

JonG 02-11-2006 02:02 PM

Duh. :p

That's why I like it.

And the classic rock talk of course..
