What is a swoosh?

The person that gets it right asks the next question.
In a noun form?

Kingofdudes 03-10-2005 06:16 PM
I do the IB system here, rather than A levels, meaning that I'm far more exposed to foreign cultures, not least because my school is very international, and I also agree that that's important. It broadens your mind, horizons, and also gets rid of feelings of nationalism rather successfully, which I regard as very definitely a good thing.
IB eh? I took Pre-IB for nineth and tenth grade. I moved, and they dont offer it here, so I dont take it.

Jelle...negro isn't a scientific term you dunce.

Everything_and_Nothing_3:15 03-10-2005 06:17 PM

A negro is a black person, or a ****** if you will, but that's just plain mean.

GurS 03-10-2005 06:18 PM

negro is derived from nigra, the latin for black.

A 'swoosh' is one of the most recognised symbols in the advertising word.

Thumb_bass 03-10-2005 06:18 PM

Swoosh is a point made in basketball where its all net?

superpeer 03-10-2005 06:18 PM

AH, I like how you put my thing about as an answer to a question that I didn't hear. It looks kinda weird. It's like you ask something and I say "Stfu, I wil tok bout Bush now, Kthxlol"

I think we all knew that.

GurS 03-10-2005 06:19 PM
Swoosh is a point made in basketball where its all net?
close... what you're thinking about is a swish. but a swoosh IS vaguely sports related.

Illmatic 03-10-2005 06:20 PM

The Swoosh is the Nike thing.

Jom 03-10-2005 06:20 PM

The swoosh is the Nike symbol.

GurS 03-10-2005 06:20 PM

DN got it... now he sets the question

Thumb_bass 03-10-2005 06:21 PM

Otherside 03-10-2005 06:21 PM

Jom 03-10-2005 06:22 PM

Superpeer (2:10:35 PM): cuz ppl have 2 c dat bush is not da answer d00d !!!1

That was one of the more humorous points of our conversation.

superpeer 03-10-2005 06:23 PM
DN got it... now he sets the question
Feel free to tell another one.

GurS 03-10-2005 06:25 PM
'Niger' actually.
Yeh, my latin isn't what it once was...

Who am I kidding? I know three phrases:

Canus Est In Via
Coquus Est In Culina
Primus Inter Pares

(the last one is from government & politics studies)

Jom 03-10-2005 06:26 PM

E Pluribus Unum = Out of many, one

What insect-carried disease is currently infection 1/12th of the world population? (512 million to be precise)

Illmatic 03-10-2005 06:27 PM

Otherside 03-10-2005 06:27 PM

West Nile virus?

/wrong

Jom 03-10-2005 06:30 PM

Lyme disease is my less sarcastic answer. You can't get AIDs from a bug.

superpeer 03-10-2005 06:33 PM

It's probably malaria, like DN said.

Kurtz 03-10-2005 06:33 PM

Tis.

superpeer 03-10-2005 06:33 PM
Lyme disease is my less sarcastic answer. You can't get AIDs from a bug.
What if you have sex with a bug that has AIDS?

Anal sex.
