Gee lifes hard for you isn't it. Do you even have a job? Have you ever worked a real day in your life?
No, don't have a job now. I'm gonna get one quick though.

When I work I normally work in jobs that are 45-60 hours a week so don't worry, I know about work.

Janeway 10-30-2006 10:12 PM

That would require going down stairs...

Wait. Is someone telling Coca to stop living with his parents and go get a real job? Oh my word. I thought Coca was an entirely self-sufficient entrepreneur of perfection?

Aaron 10-30-2006 10:12 PM

Ooh that's a hard week, Coca.

Cocaberry3 10-30-2006 10:13 PM

I'm gonna live with my parents whether I work or not until I get my degree. No reason to move out now and create extra bills for myself.

Aaron 10-30-2006 10:14 PM

Except for maybe the pride from self-sufficiency?

Janeway 10-30-2006 10:16 PM

The pride from self-sufficiency isn't worth squat when you're still paying off student loans in 40 years because you had to pay rent instead of tuition in the first place...

I'm staying with my parents until I'm out of school and I have a viable job.

Cocaberry3 10-30-2006 10:17 PM

^^ Hell yeah.. that's right.

No reason to move out too early in life. Most kids I know that moved out are struggling but don't care because they can brag they don't live at home anymore.

so..

anyone who feels like adding some drums to my R&M songwriting entry, give me a shout

garageband loops are fine to record to but they're annoyingly repetitive

stevensonmat2 10-30-2006 10:37 PM

just picked up stick control, bout time. sick guitar guy above.

Myslik 10-30-2006 10:56 PM

Sweet, stick control is fun

Cocaberry3 10-30-2006 10:57 PM

Yeah, SC rocks.

Most kids though don't realise that buying property won't be viable in 10/20 years.

Myslik 10-30-2006 11:08 PM

Living with your parents isn't really that bad. Your house will never get extremely dirty because your mom won't allow it. Someone to pick up after you.. It's like having a maid.. in some cases. Not in mine I have to do my laundry and all that crap. But she cleans the house. so I guess it's like a fair trade. It's probably a bigger house with more room and furniture too. And of course you don't have to pay bills ;)

At least you'd never get lonely with your parents lol
Damn right. After I get my MBA I'm outta here though. Can't play drums for more than 2 hours at a time without the parents bitching at me.
Consider yourself lucky. I get in 15 minutes and my dad tells me I sound like **** and to stop.

Win A Rabbit 10-30-2006 11:22 PM

 I play once a week nowadays that my dad's off work (well atleast doesn't go TO work) all winter (golf course in Canada = all winter off), and my mom's working 3-4 days a week. I can never find a time when the both of them are gone for more than half an hour at a time.

They always tell me they don't mind, but I've heard my friend play my drums while I was upstairs, there's NO sound reduction. I just refrain from sitting at my kit out of courtesy and hopes that they don't kick me out of the house.

I still haven't got the call. It's 9:10. Maybe she'll call tomorrow? :(

"Respect my Authoritah!"

Is what comes to mind.

You probably don't suck.. he just might not like loud noises.
Try muting your drums a bit .. like with towels or something for now and see if that helps.

I have a video up here somewhere... I'll repost it anyways.

I don't suck (at all) and I really don't hit hard (again, at all) so I don't know what his problem is.

I also have like, 4 bedsheets in my bass drum (unfortunately) just to make it quieter.

It's on YouTube too if you want to rate it.

I'm out of the golf industry now. I worked at golf courses from the age of 7 or 8 (if you can call it work, just helping my dad with stuff at that age) up until last summer, a solid 9 years.

I got offers from 2 of the golf courses in my town for me to go work ground crew there, which I may actually take up next summer if the pay's good. I'd like to work early mornings, then have the rest of the day off. Plus everything ground crew-related is natural for me, so it'd be a real easy job.

What kind of stuff do you do?

MatthewMeredith 10-31-2006 12:09 AM

Haha I work in the pro shop of Nanaimo Golf and Country Club. I'm the guy who washes the clubs of people who buy club storage. The best part is parking the powercarts (underground garage we call the Batcave) because the cement is reaaaaally slick when wet so I have pretty much mastered the powerslide in.

Plus, one of the main pros just quit, so other than the head pro (been there since like, 87 or something) and some random douche of a pro (been there since 99) I have seniority :D

Which, at our golf course means dick all. Oh well.

Cool.

Jerry Only lives 3 houses down from my Aunt...my dad is in fucking LOVE with that man, 's the reason he learned to play bass in high school.

It's 6:47 AM. I've been up since about..6:24 AM. I don't need to be up until about...7:30 AM.

Daaaamnit.

Drum Phil 10-31-2006 09:00 AM

Dave*Grohl 10-31-2006 09:23 AM

And you got some nice music in that list Phil! My fav out of those could be frankensein drag queens from planet 13. Such awesome songs! I Like pretty much everything that wednesday 13 does. His album transylvania 90210 is quite good. Havent heard fang bang yet tho

Drum Phil 10-31-2006 09:24 AM

Fang Bang is terrible.

I only really like the drag queens. I have pretty much everything he's done from back in the day when i loved the murderdolls.

Dave*Grohl 10-31-2006 09:27 AM

Wednesday 13 is a badass songwriter tho.

I've heard that fang bang is more poppy ****...doesn't eric from murderdolls play guitar in it?
