WheepingGuitar39 07-22-2005 04:03 PM

ehh i didn't like the vocals so much on that live track.

zetabossio 07-22-2005 06:34 PM

HEY guys i would like to say something , dont you think that A momentary lapse of reason and The division bell are pink floyds best albums. NO , i dont hate roger i really apreciate him but i think that those are the best albums . what do you think?.

Umm... I haven't heard enough of Division Bell to make judgements, but I think many of the other albums are far superior.

I think otherwise.

Klander Brigade 07-22-2005 07:12 PM

Has anyone ever been to the laser show? I went in April and it was amazing. The glasses they give you make it 10x better. Plus they play Wizard of Oz behind all the lasers and smoke. I'm not sure if it was exactly synced up to the music though, I was too overwhelmed. Anyone else ever been?

I think you're insane but people say the same thing about me when I say Syd Barrett era Floyd is better than Roger Waters era Pink Floyd. I don't enjoy Gilmour's era Floyd at all.

Syd > Roger > David (era Floyd)

Isn't Gilmour's era basically everything Floyd did except for PATGOD and The Final Cut?

Lunch 07-22-2005 07:45 PM

I think by Gilmour's era he means MLoR and The Dvision Bell, and Roger's era is Saucerful to the Final Cut, I could be wrong though.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-22-2005 07:56 PM

Even though I prefer Gilmour to Waters, the era that Waters fronted the band was definitely their pinnacle greatness.

WheepingGuitar39 07-22-2005 08:09 PM

meh
gilmour's solo pays up for it

That makes more sense.

I think Animals - The final Cut is Rogers era. Saucerful - WYWH was a team effort in my opinion.

Lunch 07-22-2005 08:48 PM

I'd agree with you, I was just interpretting what I thought Schyma meant.

Kingofdudes 07-22-2005 08:57 PM

thats for sure
i mean
just to give an example, One of these days... Time... they have all 4 members credits
you dont see that often on Animals through Final Cut

you found on hell of a treasure
I think Animals - The final Cut is Rogers era. Saucerful - WYWH was a team effort in my opinion.
Agreed. Much more of a team effort. Except, even then it was mostly Waters and Gilmour.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-22-2005 10:14 PM

Also agreed with Gilmour. After WYWH, Waters just slowly took over until he was basically in tota. control on The Final Cut.

That would make more sense but I still consider it to be Roger's era of the Floyd. After Final Cut is where David's era began.

Nektar 07-23-2005 02:42 AM

I never payed attention to "David`s Era"...

Got to admit, Floyd , the the Final Cut... that`s when we cut the cord.

Although, I`d give a hell of alot to see that band without Waters anyway.

Never got to see any of them

Welcome to the forums. Personally, AMLOR and The Division Bell were quite a bit better than the Final Cut, especially The Division Bell.

Kingofdudes 07-23-2005 11:58 PM

Sorry magicbus, ill have to wait till tomorrow to upload the song.

im not saying that i think the pink floyds best songs are :wywh , confurtubly numb , heave a cigar , hey you , when roger share the composition with david , but the albums (complete) are better AMLOR , and the division bell.
Can you tell me a song that you dont like from those albums?

zetabossio 07-24-2005 10:30 AM
I think Animals - The final Cut is Rogers era. Saucerful - WYWH was a team effort in my opinion.
why not The dark side too i thnik that is a team effort too. "if we all pull together as a team"

I actually think the Waters era was just The Wall and The Final Cut. Waters only entirerly wrote Pigs on the Wing (parts I and II.) All the other songs were written by all of them. I guess Waters must have written all the lyrics, though.

WheepingGuitar39 07-24-2005 11:45 AM

the song Sorrow from AMLOR is AMAZING
it's a masterpiece and one of my favorite songs.
actually im listening to it right now.
There are other good songs too on AMLOR

In the credits, it says Waters wrote everything entirely except for Dogs, which was a dual effort with him and Gilmour.

Zetabossio, Dark Side was written after Saucerful of Secrets and before WYWH, so that would put it in the teamwork period.

Kingofdudes 07-24-2005 12:30 PM
why not The dark side too i thnik that is a team effort too. "if we all pull together as a team"
i did include that in the "team effort" category.

Have a Cigar isnt on DSotM

Yea i watch the pulse video of sorrow atleast 5 times a day.

DeusExMachina 07-24-2005 01:11 PM

You have a pulse video? Dude, give the hook up!

WheepingGuitar39 07-24-2005 02:57 PM

I have the whole Pulse video
but it's 1.3 Gigabytes
I could try to find a place to try and upload it
yousendit? maybe
or you can download it off of Bearshare / Limewire

edit:****.. it's up to 1gig.. let me try and see if i could compress it somehow to atleast 1gigabyte

edit2:
ok so i managed to compress it.. it took 10 mins..
from 1.3 gigs to 1.28 gigs

DeusExMachina 07-24-2005 03:10 PM

if you could, that would be unbelievably awesome. But, if it's going to be a hassle, don't worry about it, I can always wait for the DVD.

no.. you cant wait for the dvd

DeusExMachina 07-24-2005 04:21 PM

You rock.

Yeah, I know the DVD will never come out. That was my subtle little hint that you should upload it.

standard 07-24-2005 06:28 PM
