POINTLESS5448 04-11-2006 06:35 PM

you can make little bridges that connect them to the main part. that would be better because then it would be 1 peice and sometimes if you just place them on the shirt they move while youre spraying them.

incubass 04-11-2006 07:15 PM

ok thanks dude

Danger Bird 04-11-2006 07:17 PM

Or you can do multiple stencils, one for each ring.

mullets suk 04-11-2006 08:08 PM
Or you can do multiple stencils, one for each ring.
if he does that then won't the circles move around like pointless said?? or are you talking about doing it diffrently?.

Danger Bird 04-11-2006 08:17 PM

No, you do each ring on a seperate sheet of paper, then spray each sheet of paper seperately.

BCT 04-11-2006 08:37 PM
Sry for the double post but what would i do for the target like circles in this rise against speaker. Cause if i cut out both black parts then its just going to be one big circle.Would i have to cut them all out and just place on the shirt or is there an easier way? Thanks.
if you are going to do that it color i would do the black layer as the last one so you only have to make bridges on the top set of rings. another thing you can do is make bridges then tape the on top of the island so the i higher then the rest of the stencil and don't touch the thing you are sparying and the underspray should fill in the gap i have only done that once and it was by mistake but it should probaly work if you are careful when you spray it.

the-UK-ska-scene 04-12-2006 01:57 AM
the-uk-ska-scene: that shirt looks good as ****! what did you use? is that a logo for the band or did you make it up?
Cheers man :thumb: I used a stencil I'd originally gotten off the BTMI/ASOB board, I will find it and upload it when I get onto the other computer. However, that was just the iPod bit. the idea of the wire/fuse/spark/TNT I just made up. Also the lettering. I just kind of used the colours they like on their website (well the abundance of green and pink seems to work).

POINTLESS5448 04-12-2006 05:22 AM

did you use spraypaint or fabric paint or what?

guitar, bass, sax 04-12-2006 01:00 PM

I think it's kinda sad that if you google ASOB BTMI my myspace is one of the first links.

BCT 04-12-2006 07:01 PM

I found an old vinyl and painted it and added this cutout onto it. pretty simple, nothing great. It was a good way to kill half an hour.

Looks ok, i reckon you should trace around the edges of the cutout with black texta tho, and then stick it on your bedroom wall...red was a good choice of colour :thumb:

Yea, the black texta outline would look pretty good. I'll see what I can find.

I had only heard of people stenciling on vinyl a few days ago, and it's pretty neat.
Wow. I love it.

Yea I'm really starting to get into it. I just need to go hit some op shops and grab a heap of cheap vinyl, and get to a store to grab some paint, and something to cut my stencils out with.
how many layer is that and did you spray right on the vinyl. did you design the stincl yourself. i realy like the jacket but the face needs a little work but over all good job
That isn't actually a stencil because I have zero paint at the moment. It's just a print out from the computer I pasted on. I'm going to go and get more paint when I can and I'll actually spray some stencils onto the vinyl.
I like it. It's cool idea that I haven't seen before, don't know what you'll do with it though.
It will probably just end up in my room somewhere, it just looks cool. No real purpose.
That's pretty cool, but what the hell are you going to do with it?
Nothing. It was just something to do for 30 minutes.

incubass 04-14-2006 11:39 PM

ok this like my last question but what woulb be the easiest way to make like the breaking benjamin symbol. Because if i cut out the actual symbol it will just look like this . thanks for the help im just an idiot.

Danger Bird 04-14-2006 11:43 PM

Cut out the black parts maybe?

Liebensaft 04-14-2006 11:44 PM

You're going to need to use one of the tutorials around somewhere for making that into a black and white image. Then you'll want to cut out the black part inside of the logo.

edit: Like this, but done better.

BCT 04-15-2006 01:05 PM

if you want i will work on it a liitle for you

incubass 04-15-2006 02:17 PM

Suggestions for a project?

Duct tape wallet?

Danger Bird 04-16-2006 02:19 PM

Yeah, but make it look real cool and stencil a design on it or something.

Brain Toad 04-16-2006 02:31 PM

Duct Tape wallers are awesome, but usually can't hold more than a few bucks. Which if your true punx, that's too much room for you.

If the weather stays nice this week I'm going to finally spray paint the front of my backpack to cover up some old designs and duct tape residue and the maybe stencil this on there:

Spray adhesive works well an isn't expensive. Just make sure it's not permanant.

Spray Adhesive tends to work well, but wash your shirt before you wear it, if you decide to use it.

I just use my hand. I don't use tape or any of that fancy s'hit on simple stencils.

Double stick tape and cut it thin or put it on the back before you cut you the letters. Double stick tape is excellent

incubass 04-16-2006 08:05 PM

Ok thanks guys i don't know why i didn't think of spray adhesive.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 04-16-2006 08:17 PM

Spray adhesive and get the permenant kind because it works way better but the trick is, you spray it, then let it sit for about thirty seconds before you put it on so it won't stay on. And spray the stencil, not the shirt, otherwise you get sticky spots all over.

Liebensaft 04-16-2006 08:43 PM

I made a wallet from Priority mail tape, which is usually free at the post office. Truly punx.

Mannik 04-16-2006 08:50 PM

That's pretty damn creative
