so what? i slowly expand my tastes and what ilisten to on a regular basis. and i dont have an absurd amount of folk albums. i do have around 1.5GB of folk/folk metal but at 320kps thats not a whole lot of music.

so you fail to understand how to absorb and grow a music taste and instead mistake downloading a large number of random albums as being versed in a genre

Yeah I do this sometimes but I never continue downloading stuff in the genre if I don't listen to the other stuff

idk why you would want to force yourself to "understand" a genre that doesnt pull you into it, no matter who you are

im not forcing myself on anything, i simply listen to music i like, and since i like a wide variety of music but different styles within a genre.

for instance, i like sludge, but more specifically i like sludgey stoner more than grief or other sludge bands like that
