Trespassers William - Different Stars
Carissa's Wierd - Songs About Leaving
David Bowie - Station to Station
William Basinski - Loops III
Aidan Baker - Only Stories

kitsch 12-08-2011 03:51 PM

carissa's weird and basinski are choice cuts. havent heard that aidan baker record yet. is it one if his above average releases?

violent pink - in currents (power electronics)
soft kill - an open door (post-punk/synth)
war - god made flesh (noisey analog synth with post punk stylings)
skeppet - s/t (post punk flavored with syncopation and a few drones a la early post rock like talk talk and bark psychosis)

DBlitz 12-08-2011 04:01 PM

i haven't listened to an average baker release yet, mostly because i go for the ones rasputin recommends more highly than others (scalpel, green and cold, sea swells a bit - all fantastic). this sounds a lot like scalpel, if you've listened to that you know what to expect. i'm actually still in the middle of the album, but fuck, it's really nice and soothing.

kitsch 12-08-2011 04:30 PM

scalpel is one of my faves.

hes got a lot of great shit but a lot of average ones too (book of nods, metamorphose, i will always and forever hold you in my heart and mind). however, sometimes i prefer these because they seem so much more simple

SugarCoatedSour 12-08-2011 08:22 PM

hit up The Nightblooms - 24 Days At Catastrophe Cafe.

you won't regret it kitschy
