Trespassers William - Different Stars
Carissa's Wierd - Songs About Leaving David Bowie - Station to Station William Basinski - Loops III Aidan Baker - Only Stories |
carissa's weird and basinski are choice cuts. havent heard that aidan baker record yet. is it one if his above average releases?
violent pink - in currents (power electronics) soft kill - an open door (post-punk/synth) war - god made flesh (noisey analog synth with post punk stylings) skeppet - s/t (post punk flavored with syncopation and a few drones a la early post rock like talk talk and bark psychosis) |
i haven't listened to an average baker release yet, mostly because i go for the ones rasputin recommends more highly than others (scalpel, green and cold, sea swells a bit - all fantastic). this sounds a lot like scalpel, if you've listened to that you know what to expect. i'm actually still in the middle of the album, but fuck, it's really nice and soothing.
|
scalpel is one of my faves.
hes got a lot of great shit but a lot of average ones too (book of nods, metamorphose, i will always and forever hold you in my heart and mind). however, sometimes i prefer these because they seem so much more simple |
hit up The Nightblooms - 24 Days At Catastrophe Cafe.
