Have u got the Born Again album cjborton?
No, wouldn't mind having it though.

Brew 05-12-2005 10:12 AM
Yeah I got that one too. Im surprised at the quality of it considering its a bootleg from 1969. Its a shame you cant hear what Ozzy is singing though.
I got quite alot of stuff from the dude's website, most of it is pretty good.

shadow_stalker 05-12-2005 10:15 AM

What website?

Brew 05-12-2005 10:20 AM

Its not difficult to guess which website its from.

rippa32 05-13-2005 04:18 AM

Is it www.black-sabbath.com? thats where I got mine.

Brew 05-13-2005 10:01 AM

*applause*

shadow_stalker 05-13-2005 11:37 AM

Ah, found it thanks.

First time i've been on those forums for quite awhile

shadow_stalker 05-13-2005 12:10 PM

I've found out that quite a bit of 'warning' is easy to play on the guitar, but its such a bitch trying to remember which bits go where.

Damn the song for being that long.

Darkness 05-13-2005 04:37 PM

I listened to the paranoid cd all day today... it was so awesome. I haven't listened to that since like October... War pigs = amazing song. Somethings I didn't like though, are that on alot of the songs the guitar would be on one speaker and the bass on the other... or guitar on both and bass just on one. It really annoyed the hell out of me.

AA-12 05-13-2005 04:41 PM

The sound isn't like that for me.

/waits for Andy

Darkness 05-13-2005 05:14 PM

Well it is on my cd... I'll have to give my record a listen.

Brew 05-13-2005 05:43 PM

'sup 1996 Castle Remaster?

Its like that on my copy, not that I really give a crap seeing as its my least favourite album, besides some bands panned their instruments like that anyways.

Darkness 05-13-2005 05:47 PM

Yes, it is a remaster.

Brew 05-13-2005 05:50 PM

If its the Castle Remaster then yeh, the sound is going to be incredibly meh.

Its handy though for learning songs.

rippa32 05-13-2005 07:25 PM

Is it possible to get CD's that dont have a remastered recording? Or do I have to get a vinyl record for it to not be remastered?

Darkness 05-13-2005 07:32 PM

Its not castle, its Earmark. "vinyl reissues don't get any better than this!"

Brew 05-14-2005 06:28 AM

Hmm.

I've only got original vinyl copies of most of the albums, but not one for Paranoid.

Maybe thats how they felt it sounded good - guitars in one speaker, bass in the other, then drums and vocals in the centre.

If you think about it, thats how it would sound if they were playing out of amps on stage.

gijoe467 05-14-2005 08:27 AM

electric funeral is such an awesome song

Yeah Ive always that it sounds better that way. Thats how AC/DC does it.

show off

rippa32 05-15-2005 06:09 AM

I just heard recordings of Ian Gillan live with sabbath. He is actually much better live and although I prefer ozzy's versions he does put a nice sound to the originals. Better than Dios versions IMO.

Brew 05-15-2005 08:30 AM

Gillan killed Supernaut.
show off
Huh?

acefrehleyjendell 05-15-2005 09:17 AM

Anyone heard Tony Martin sing War Pigs?

What a disgrace

Brew 05-15-2005 09:22 AM

I've heard snippets of him singing Mob Rules, Into the Void and Paranoid, they seemed pretty good to me.

I really want to get a copy of Cross Purposes Live, but I can't find it anywhere in Bristol.

King_Karl 05-15-2005 10:09 AM

Wow I found this thread again. Sabbath rule but I can't go to downlod :(

Brew 05-15-2005 10:22 AM

Rumour has it that they're doing a tour after the Ozzfest in America, so they'll probably come over here.

They'll be meh at Download, it'll be like watching the Last Supper DVD.

rippa32 05-16-2005 04:54 AM
Gillan killed Supernaut.
I havnt heard him sing that. Where did you get it?

Hui_LP 05-16-2005 05:25 AM

Sabbath absolutely rules. Must say I like Dio's solowork more, but that's not of any importance.

Much more important is that I'm going to see them this summer on Fields of Rock. Happy me..
