Cheers Frankie. Wow, that "8 Bit Baby" tracks sucks.

EDIT: "I Love The Way" is class though.
EDIT II: Heard "Wibbler" before, bit of a bad boy tune.
Yep told ya.

Last 4 songs are fantastic though.

IAJP 07-23-2010 01:07 PM

wow 8 bit baby is bafflingly poor, i cant imagine anyone writing that and thinking "yeah you know what. track 2 that one".

Deviant. 07-23-2010 07:38 PM

He must've been listening to Starkey and decided to not be as good as him

IAJP 07-24-2010 05:45 AM

the album just wouldn't suffer without it though would it? it's over an hour already, it could have easily been omitted to make the album better. same with the new M.I.A. album there's some dodgy tracks on that like. and gaga's album actually - i hate speechless so badly..baffling, especially in this day and age..alas, i will just never listen again.

Satelllliiiiiteee 07-24-2010 02:40 PM

Kinda surprised, Caspa's new mix isn't the worst thing in the world. Few dodgy tracks, but i've heard worse

publicastration 07-30-2010 05:22 PM

can anyone point me to some dub that has the really gritty/sort of industrial sound that broken note has?

Deviant. 07-30-2010 05:32 PM

Innasekt, Hektagon & ILL Gates come to mind

your_mum 08-15-2010 05:46 AM

Mannnnnnn, haven't been on this forum in time....
...and in that time i've been producing baaaaaaaare tracks!

http://soundcloud.com/vishushkillah any critique is welcome :)

@Luc214: N-type - Dark Matter, has that similiar vibe to it, but its not too industrial sounding. Personally i'm more into my DMZ, distance, Goth Trad, Seven, Kryptic Minds etcc....

Anyone here go to the west indian centre in leeds?

IAJP 08-15-2010 07:41 AM

i went into a club last night for the first time in ages coz i got banned and it absolutely ****ing reeked of mephedrone. played some good DnB / dubstarp in there though.

Devinski 08-15-2010 11:30 AM

Dubstep is really, really, really overrated. Everyone's been wanking over it the past few years but I don't get what the fuss about a genre of music in which every single beat sounds the same is. It's even more repetitive than DnB.

Here in England every Dubstep fan I've come across seems to be your typical obnoxious, white middle-class, weed smoking, trucker's cap wearing, Jamaican slang using wanker.

2muchket! 08-15-2010 11:32 AM

cool story bro

Devinski 08-15-2010 11:35 AM

your_mum 08-15-2010 04:24 PM
"The Untamed Noise" has a real Kryptic Minds vibe to it. I like it a lot.
Big up man! :)
I love kryptic minds haha.

I think with dubstep you have to dig through the crusty layer of **** ontop to get to the good stuff. Dubstep is a very broad genre from rusko(****) to more drum based stuff like ramadanman all the way to melody driven guys like eleven tigers. Also theres all the glitchy stuff like joy orbison and james blake. So you can't really say the genre is repetative, just some artists within the genre are.

2muchket! 08-15-2010 04:27 PM

Wheres the fun in that when you can judge a genre based solely on hearing the most commerical examples of said genre.

Deviant. 08-15-2010 05:24 PM

When I get told about a new genre I immediately look to its fans and what they wear to find out whether its good or not. Makes sense, no?

Aaaaaaye! Well, I've been to Subdub twice... Really really enjoyed it. I'm not that knowlegable about dub though so cant say much about the music. Although I much prefer the more chilled out tunes in the bigger room.

The other room is just too 'in your face' for my liking ... and it's easier to dance to slow tunes when under ket.
