The Holy Cross, Symbol Of Lies
Intimidate The Lives of Christian Born
Speak Of Death, The Words Of Hate
Anticipation Grows Amongst The Dead
Hell Has Seen The Priests Attempt
To Bring Forth Their Lord Of The Cross
Strike Of Twelve, Raise The Dead
The Chapel Comes Under Attack

The Ghosts Of Sin Torment The Priests
Their Altar Will Soon Be Destroyed
Heaven's Palace Turning Black
The Church Now Belongs To The Dead
Blackened Magic Infest With Lust
Lucifer Rules Supreme
The Crystal Ball Shows Unknown Fate
The Last Thing Thats Heard Is The Screams

Ghosts From Hell Invade This Feeble Shrine
Heaven's Holy House Will Fall In Time
Satan's Morbid Soldiers Chant In Lust
Destruction Of The Church We'll Burn The Cross

Attacking Angels As They Pray To God
Tormented Preachers Hail The Twisted Cross
Haunting The Chapel Hell's Demons Prevail
Death Has Come, The House Of God Has Failed.

so this song doesn't get much recognition, but it's actually in the top 5 Slayer songs, easily.

Iron & Wine isn't christian.

publicastration 10-07-2007 06:20 PM

Neither are Virgin Black to my knowledge.

7SOR 10-07-2007 06:50 PM
Iron & Wine isn't christian.
You're right. He was raised Christian and he's interested in religion. The effects of it rather than the lifestyle. He's always lobbed in with Christian artists from forums I've been to though, so I figured he was. Thanks for making me do some research.
Neither are Virgin Black to my knowledge.
"While members of Virgin Black have Christian beliefs, the band has often sought to explain that its music is an exploration of spirituality and attempts to highlight the difference between the Church and the spiritual aspects of Christianity".

I guess early on, they tried to attract a Christian audience but the Christian audience found their style to be blasphemous (lulz), so they gave up and are now aiming towards a general audience.

I think this is the case, though I think they actually play down that they are Christian as I recall reading something about differences with the church. Meh.

Panorama 10-08-2007 11:57 AM

publicastration 10-09-2007 03:12 PM

I suppose their church teaches that proper grammar is from satan.

Yeah.. Korn, Limp Bizkit, Eminem, Karnivool, not to mention every band that has song names with the wrong spelling.... they went to a private satan school.

Shred Danson 10-09-2007 06:09 PM

I didn't know Satan taught how to make horrible music. Makes perfect sense though.

BrokenChains 11-20-2007 12:47 PM

Pillar is my favorite Christian rock band...other Christian bands I listen to would be Demon Hunter and As I Lay Dying

Dimmu Burger 11-20-2007 01:16 PM
