Vaginal Discharge. Cowboy is great, I love the guitar sound in it.

AIRIC 10-06-2005 01:29 PM

This isn't the V'aginal Discharge thread though.

Sorry, my mistake.

Brian Manifesto 10-07-2005 06:41 PM

Against Me! = Greatest Punk Band.

Flagjacket 10-07-2005 06:42 PM
Against Me! = Greatest Folk Punk Band.
And even that isn't necesarrily true. And I guess they're not really folk punk anymore. Too confusing.

123. I wouldn't call them folk punk anymore.

I wouldn't have ever really called them Folk Punk. They had a few songs, but I wouldn't overall have ever called them Folk Punk. Deifance Ohio are Folk Punk. Against Me! aren't.

I reckon the acoustic EP is their most folk sounding record. But I think the stuff like vivida va vis and crime are to screamy. Like listen to Haste Killed Creativity.

I still like em...I like everything Against Me! have done.

AIRIC 10-08-2005 11:04 PM

Woot. 2 new Bootlegs. Live on Triple J Radio, Australia. and Castleton 4.13.04

AIRIC 10-08-2005 11:57 PM

Triple J Radio was fantastic. Castleton was probably the worst AM! bootleg i've found. The lead vocals are SO LOUD, and you cannot hear anything because it is so far underneath the lead.

good rats 10-09-2005 12:01 AM

Skrunnch. Where did you get these bootlegs from? Care uploading em? I wanna hear this Triple J one...

I plan on uploading the show that AM! played live in Melbourne soon.

AIRIC 10-09-2005 12:04 AM

Do you use AIM? I'm not sure if I should be YSI'ing them.

good rats 10-09-2005 12:08 AM

Yea I got AIM.

AGAINSTME!'sbass 10-09-2005 04:46 PM

rawdog 10-10-2005 01:50 AM

I was playing around, using the recording feature from iPod Linux, and I recorded myself playing "Those Anarcho Punks Are Mysterious"...at least the bass part. It's recognizable. There aren't really mistakes as in the wrong note, but there are some pauses that are slightly extended.

The volume is a little bit low, sorry.

edit - here's a few more links, in case the first gets used up, I know there's lots of people on MX.

Keep in mind, I've been playing for a month. Even though, anyone who's ever picked up a bass could play that. Oh, and I did it with my fingers, a style of playing I don't do often.

You need to just work on being more steady, keeping in time :thumb:

Liebensaft 10-12-2005 04:50 AM

Yeah, a metronome would be nice to have.

rawdog 10-12-2005 05:27 PM
Yeah, a metronome would be nice to have.
Yes, yes it would.

Liebensaft 10-12-2005 05:55 PM

I found a couple references to sites with metronome mp3's for anywhere from 40-200 something bpm. I should find those.

thepo 10-13-2005 01:51 PM

Look what I found on another message board:

http://s65.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2PCRYHZX1VJN13KLRWPKVLYU3G

It's a cover of a song written by Bob Dylan and performed by Old Crow Medicine Show. It's just tom and his acoustic guitar. You can't not love it.

AndreTheHyena 10-13-2005 01:52 PM

I am about to shit myself.

AIRIC 10-13-2005 01:55 PM

Can't wait to hear it.

AIRIC 10-13-2005 02:43 PM

Wow that ruled.

AndreTheHyena 10-13-2005 02:57 PM

Not too bad.
