I was listening to IKSOSE in the car today. It's a great album. Does anyone know of a website that tells the whole story thingy throughout the albums? I'm interested in it now.

Try Cobalt and Calcium. Their forums are a great place to learn about the story, and people post tons of theories on songs there. The only songs we know the story behind FOR SURE are Time Consumer, Devil in Jersey City, and its seems like most of Everything Evil.

Maybe a little later ill post the overview of the story behind them for you.

Let's Chop Cats! 07-12-2005 05:14 PM

Neither do I, I was just linked to it by someone.

cobert 07-12-2005 05:26 PM

Wow.

Im listening to 'Welcome Home' right now, and it reminds me of Iron Maiden.

cobert 07-12-2005 05:35 PM

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

I have crazy goosebumps right now. This is so epic. Im so pumped right now over this. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG I love coheed and cambria. Oh man, i sound like a 13 year old girl right now, but i dont care OMG this is awesome. The 'one last kiss to you part' is catchy.

Reiner, you just made my day.

Let's Chop Cats! 07-12-2005 05:42 PM

Haha no problem. This better leak onto the internet soon, me wants to hear it all.

cobert 07-12-2005 06:41 PM

Im not going to download it if it does leak, id much rather support the band and wait it out until the 20th and buy it.

Electric Ocean 07-12-2005 07:02 PM

I'm buying it whatever but I might get it if it leaks first. Also I didn't know you were into this band Reiner, thought you'd be too hardcore.

cobert 07-12-2005 07:21 PM

This song is amazing. I cant stop listening to it.

pixiesfanyo 07-12-2005 07:30 PM

Hahaha, I'm into a lot of pop-punk/none hardcore punk stuff. I just barely come into here because there isn't enough good discussion and due to the recent trend of people liking boring generic crap.

When i first heard te date of sep 20th, its seemed pretty close, but now that i actually heard a song from the album, it seems far away.

Let's Chop Cats! 07-12-2005 08:18 PM

Haha that was like 3 weeks ago. I used to stop in somewhat more. I still glance in here atleast once a day, just most threads are boring.

That's exactly my point! At first I was like "Cool, a few months away. Awesome". Now it's "F*CKING SEPTEMBER! ****IT!"

cobert 07-12-2005 09:26 PM

Tjebby 07-12-2005 09:31 PM

I really haven't listened to Coheed & Cambria. I have the newest album. Favor House Atlantic is a good song. The first song, I forgot the title, is really good.

cobert 07-12-2005 09:34 PM

In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3?

Unless youre talking about the orchestral piece, but i doubt it.

Tjebby 07-12-2005 09:35 PM

Yeah that one. I forgot the title. What I have listened to its pretty good. Any recommendations?

cobert 07-12-2005 09:39 PM

On that CD:

The crowing
2113 (track 23)
Cuts Marked In The March Of Men

I liked all of it though, so you might as well give it a listen. If youre looking for things to download from their other CD, try:

Time Consumer
Devil In Jersey City
Everything Evil
33
Junesong Provision

But again, i liked every song on that album as well, so its not like ther est of the stuff is bad.

I guess i have like half of the cd then, I have eleven songs.

Nope, you have all of the songs except 2113.

tracks 12 through 22 are just a few seconds of silence, 2113 is a not-so-hidden hidden song.

I still like In Keeping Secrets...(the song) better than Welcome Home. I like most of the song, I just don't really like the guitar solo, I'm not really into Coheed as a band doing the whole generic crap (verse, chorus, verse, chorus, solo, chorus, crappy solo). I like most of the rest of the song though. I just have a phobia of guitar solos, especially when I don't hear them often with the band.

DEAR F*CKING GOD! I LOVE YOU FOR FINDING THIS!

cobert 07-13-2005 01:16 PM

Im checking out the lyrics to it.

Hwat do you all think its about? Claudio sid the CD is from the writers perspective, and if oyu have the first comic, the narrator is either the unnamed boy that is with jesse or claudio. I dont know if he means it like that (the narrator) or if he means the perosn writing the fictional story. If he menas a person writing a fiction story in the real world, ten the song is obvioulsy killing off a character that is causing troubles with the storywriting process.

/keeps listening
