BOLA was my first rage album, and I loved it at the time. It just got "old" faster then the others. Theres just not as many good songs on it, the first 6 are amazing 7 sucks 8 was ok 9 sucked 10 was ok then 11 and 12 kicked major *** but they lose to many points from 7-10. These are just my thoughts though.

Battle Of LA is their best, followed by S/T (IMO)

DonMancini 01-24-2005 02:14 PM

I've had freedom in my head for like a week now :( I need a cure.

Or maybe not, this rocks.

Listen to "Take the Power Back", then you could have an even better Rage song stuck in your head :thumb:
Does anyone like "Sleep Now In The Fire"
I have a live version of that..and...:amaze:
Great song. I'd say one of my top 3 off of Battle of Los Angeles. Along with Testify and Ashes in the Fall.

Anybody diggin the double octave whammy effect on Ashes in the Fall? Very cool.

Janitor 01-24-2005 10:32 PM

Ashes In The Fall is one of my favorite songs by anyone. Blasting the last minute and a half of that at full volume through headphones is great, it's so aggresive.

yeah take the power back is a great song, i love the bass line, too bad RHCP ripped it off in by the way. My fav Rage song=Bulls On Parade, awesome riff and sum pissed off lyrics. (wearing Rage Shirt Now)

I really need a RATM shirt. I have a couple Floyd shirts, and a Tool shirt on the way.

opeth_oasis 01-25-2005 12:13 AM

i found it easy to get, finding an opeth shirt is hard for me

Tss, as if I've never heard it :p

And Take the power back doesn't stick in my head as easily as other songs do for some reason.

IAJP 01-25-2005 01:13 PM

At the moment my favourite Rage song has to be "Know Your Enemy"
Allthough it was written a while ago, the lyrics still actually mean something.

Ap0calipZ 01-25-2005 01:21 PM

i only got Battle Against LA and Evil Empire

but i think there both v.cool
but Evil Empire is my fav its one of those albums ive listened to so much i can tell what the next track is (not the name, just what it goes like)

I order you to leave your household and purchase self titled immediately.

You will be blown away.

munky_magik 01-25-2005 01:22 PM

Your next buy should definatly be their S/T. It's an outstanding album.

Arucard 01-25-2005 01:27 PM

'They dont gotta burn the books they just remove them, now arms warehouses fill as quick as the cells, rally round your family, pocket full of shells.'

Bulls on Parade.

:)

I do as well. That is the best album I have ever purchased.

The store I get my shirts carries loads of Opeth shirts, but I'd never buy one of them, cuz it's Opeth

Apocalyptic Raids 01-25-2005 10:01 PM

HempKnight 01-25-2005 10:18 PM

I thought it was really cool to hear maynerd's voice on know your enemy, it was a nice way to combine probally the 2 greatest bands to come out of the 90's

Darkness 01-25-2005 10:34 PM

Yeah, not to mention Zack on Tools song "Bottom" (live) or their "Revolution" track.

Darkness 01-26-2005 06:06 PM

What do you guys think of the collab with cypress hill on GOA?

CaptainWaits 01-26-2005 06:13 PM
What do you guys think of the collab with cypress hill on GOA?
It was pretty cool to see those dudes with RATM, there probably the only "rappers" I like, so I thought it was cool

Maxen 01-26-2005 06:28 PM

I love RATM's power.

Brad Wilk is on my Top 5 Favourite Drummers List.

As for my favourite album, don't have one, when it comes to RATM. :thumb:

Audioslave are also good, but of course, don't have that power nor energy, drumming is pretty lazy on the self titled album.

Chris Cornell sounds horrible live. :upset:

paco999 01-26-2005 07:06 PM

Tool and Ratm playing together live OMFG

Where do u buy your shirts?
Where do u buy your shirts?
I place called "Churisma" in downtown Calgary Alberta in Canada, most likely where you're not

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-27-2005 08:55 PM

You can find em a lot of places. Hot Topic, dare I say, would probably have some RATM shirts. The sacrifice there would be the fact that you would have to wade through dozens of emo bitches to get to one.

opeth_oasis 01-27-2005 09:36 PM

What do you think of Zack De La Rocha's solo career? I havent heard any of it, anyone give me some good songs or if it is even worth getting?

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-27-2005 09:49 PM

As far as rap goes, it's not bad, but compared to RATM, it's nothing. Check out "March of Death." it's the only thing I've heard from him.

Darkness 01-28-2005 08:43 PM
Where'd you hear that?! Is there a DVD of this somewhere?
The bottom track is a bit harder to come by, but the know your enemy with maynard (live to) can be found at http://funkblast.com/

Dr. Jake Destructo 01-28-2005 08:46 PM

I know, Maynard is on the studio version of Know Your Enemy, so that's nothing new, sadly.

Darkness 01-28-2005 09:26 PM

Well the dude was talking about tool with ratm and thats tool with ratm.

its rap?

Darkness 01-30-2005 12:21 AM

Yes, thats what his solo career is based on...Though I guess you could argue that this is some kinda rock song. But its a D.J not a band.

CaptainWaits 01-30-2005 12:59 AM

I just realized how cool "Year of tha Bommerang" is

Apocalyptic Raids 01-30-2005 03:20 AM

I remember i took me a while to start liking that song, its pretty good, but not on of my favs

alifraser 01-30-2005 06:42 AM

i need help, does anyone know who the vocalist is on the song
"Good morning Vietnam"? its not ZDLR is it... and was this song on the "hackers" soundtrack?

alifraser 01-30-2005 06:44 AM

okay that was really stupid, of course its not zack, sounds nothing like him at all! but who is it...?
