What do they say on hate yer state without putting it backwards? My english knowledge is not enough to get it. I know you Nick put it up somewhere but I don't know where.

Shtein 07-21-2005 07:46 AM
the Pink Floyd backwards message is just "Congratulations, you've found the hidden message."

http://www3.telus.net/jefmil/stairwaybackwards.htm
That one is fake. All these other ones are deliberate messages put in by the artist.

Brain Toad 07-21-2005 01:28 PM
the Pink Floyd backwards message is just "Congratulations, you've found the hidden message."
They also say send the answer to old pink care of the happy home or something like that, a jab at Syd Barrett(sp?)

Pretty stupid messages if you ask me, who actually believes that message in Stairway is a coincidence, bull****.

Brain Toad 07-21-2005 01:40 PM
Pretty stupid messages if you ask me, who actually believes that message in Stairway is a coincidence, bull****.
It's also your ear being told what to hear. If you are told it says "I like ponies" then you are going to pick up on the sounds similar to "I like ponies"

Shtein 07-21-2005 01:44 PM

true, but what I dont get are the people trying to say there is a demonic message when played backwards when clearly be listening to it there is no possible way it could sound like that?

Brain Toad 07-21-2005 01:46 PM

It all sounds like backwards music to me. I like when artists put deliberate messages, some are harder than others because it will be under other music. But its always fun finding them. If I ever make a record, there will be a backwards message on at least one song.

Shtein 07-21-2005 02:28 PM

Sory, but I'm not a believer and I never even bothered to play my moms Zeppelin record backwards so ill guess ill never know for sure...

nobody's hero999 07-23-2005 09:43 PM

Can anyone tell me what guitar and amp setups choking victim and LoC use. id reaaly appreciate it. cuz they got a really good sound.

Flagjacket 07-23-2005 09:53 PM

The guitarist has a Telecaster, and I see a Marshall amp and a Peavey amp in the live video I have of them.

TTTSNB 07-23-2005 09:56 PM

I almost got to see them, I was in Philly and they were playing, but tickets had apparently been sold out 2 weeks before, and there was a torrential rainstorm, flood watch just before they played, we couldn't even get a cab there, it was too far to walk. Was anyone here there? How was the show?

Twat_Out_Of_Hell 07-24-2005 10:34 AM

anyone have any videos they could upload of any crack rock steady bands?

POINTLESS5448 07-27-2005 07:16 PM

yeah so i listened to mediocre generica today and i like it alot. more than **** world trade.

Buzzbomb 08-01-2005 09:42 PM

Anyone seen the Live in Orlando video that you can get on most file sharing programs? The first song they play is very similar to Clear Channel(**** Off) like the same chord progressions and s'hit but the lyrics and s'hit are different cause Ezra sings too. Is this this like an early version of Clear Channel or something along those lines.

Buzzbomb 08-02-2005 02:36 PM

anyone know?

That was the best show I've ever been to. LoC wasn't that great, but the Subhumans were amazing.

albert_bass 08-02-2005 02:51 PM

it's probably Homeo-apathy. Very probable, more like sure, it is.

Sid 08-02-2005 02:52 PM

Buzzbomb 08-02-2005 02:54 PM

Has anyone heard anything about Stza's new band, Star F'ucking Hipsterz? They played their first show about 5 days ago or so, and he apparently plays bass and does some backing vocals. And the lead vocalist in the band is female (i'm sure some people will remember they advertised for this a while ago?). Anyway, anyone heard anything?

guns_of_brixton 08-13-2005 11:24 AM

My brother enjoyed the music of Leftover Crack when I played it for him.

i bought that album last summer for my birthday, but listened to it a couple times and didn't think it was that good, as the only songs i really listened to were 'The Good, The Bad... etc', Atheist Anthem, Nazi White-Trash and Gay Rude Boys Unite, and all the other more metally stuff sounded like a load of **** to my ears. but i've started listening to it again recently and it's ****ing quality, i like it way more than i did the first few times listening to it.

cheeser_1 08-13-2005 04:28 PM

it really grows on you. i had alot of bad shit happen, and it's all i'm really listening to, it really does the trick.

Flagjacket 08-13-2005 04:58 PM

Haha I know.

Mediocre Generica is good but F'uck World Trade is better.

Buzzbomb 08-14-2005 01:43 PM

Who exactly is LoC's current drummer?

Unseen2k0 08-14-2005 01:44 PM

No one. Stza formed another band.

But there is a Choking Victim reunion on 9/11 with Team Spider in Tompkins Square.

Hey it happened exactly the same to me. I first had listened to FWT and I loved it, so I downloaded Mediocre Generica and thought bah, this isn't that good. But then after a month or so I gave it another chance and I love it now.
