I honestly don't get why everyone hates adb for arguing with people in the community thread. A lot of times it's either that or have no one posting in it for hours. Plus, isn't the thread [i]meant[/i] for off-topic discussion? How is having arguments in the community thread worse than page after page of drug talk?

Also, I think it's ridiculous that there are actually specific rules that Brent can no longer use certain words, especially since they don't apply to anyone else. How is his word choice relevant to what he's saying, and since when is something like that no longer considered a quirky style of posting, but [I]a menace that brings ruin to R&M[/I]?

You're assuming it has to be one or the other. We never used to have arguments and the drug talk was always complimented by actual conversation. I'm not saying we can't have the occasional debate or argument but it's become a constant derailment. It's discouraging for people to try and post in there when they're either going to be interrupted by or excluded because of some frivolous, bullshit argument.

These aren't actual concrete rules. I've never banned Brent for using these words. In fact, I'm not sure I've ever banned Brent. These suggestions are specific to Brent because he's the only one causing these problems. No, he's not arguing with himself, but he's constantly the centre of these arguments. Anglachel needs to stop baiting him, I agree, but it's always Brent and a revolving door of other people bitching. He's the common denominator, thus it's him who I'm focusing on.
