I've decided that Soup is Good Food is my favorite DK song.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-28-2005 08:34 PM

Good choice.

Brain Toad 04-28-2005 08:36 PM

I just saw the one on Frankenchrist. If you are a fan of acronyms, here is some explainations:

PIPPIN
NORM

Pippin also produced this:

is that what DK is talking about?

Brain Toad 04-28-2005 08:39 PM

Might be, I'm not sure. The Pippin Youth Ranch sounds like a DK like thing to reference. Norm seems a bit off the wall though, maybe in reference to the phallic symbols in Frankenchrist.

I like Goons of Hazzard alot too.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-28-2005 08:50 PM

I came to the conclusion a while ago, that every DK song is their best song.

I'm looking through the Frankenchrist booklet right now and the last thing it says in there is- spiritual guidance: norm.

Kill the Poor is the best out of everything, I think

guns_of_brixton 05-01-2005 10:29 AM

I downloaded the live version of Goons of Hazzard from Mutiny on the Bay, and I must say its amazing.

fastfingers Is My Bitch 05-01-2005 10:31 AM

Overrated, and Jello is nothing but a business man.

Good tunes though.

WRONG

CombatRock 05-02-2005 01:10 PM

I dont see Jello as being a business man. if your going to say somthing like that you should explain why.

sketchyjoe 05-02-2005 01:19 PM

Meg doesn't need to explain herself.

CombatRock 05-02-2005 02:20 PM

SlappedByTheClash 05-02-2005 07:20 PM

I'm glad other Profiles/Discussion threads are growing, it's always good to see that.

Yeah, so, DK rock. hXc style.

TromaMan 05-02-2005 08:51 PM

East Bay Ray?

What sort of guitar did he use and what sort of pickups were in it. I'd love to achieve his sort of sound, sort of a buzzsaw surf guitar.

CombatRock 05-02-2005 08:53 PM

Fender Tele-caster (single coil pickups)

you could of just asked this in the Offical DK thread, oh well.

Let's Chop Cats! 05-02-2005 08:53 PM

Telecaster/Stratcaster with an Echoplex.

CombatRock 05-02-2005 08:56 PM

did klaus have a custom Fender J or did he just paint the headstock of it?

Let's Chop Cats! 05-02-2005 08:57 PM

I donno, I don't play bass so I never looked into it.

DrGolovaCroxby 05-03-2005 12:18 AM
did klaus have a custom Fender J or did he just paint the headstock of it?
best i can tell, it's not a fender. it's a fender knockoff. it looks nice and sounds decent, and that's all that matters.
