What would be ideal cymbals for being loud, durable, relatively fast, with a middle pitch? I play extremely fast so i really need something with the power and hangtime of throwing a glass bottle against a brick wall.
|
A custom Fast crash, A Thin Crash
|
is this normal?? I just noticed some very very little black lines on my new drak crash. start at the edge to the bell... theres like 3 lines
I cant take pictures now cause I dont have my cam, but when I'll have it I'll show you. |
A custom Fast crash, A Thin Crash
^^ for those descriptions, no. "fast" ANYTHING is just asking to be cracked. look for AA Medium Crashes and Heavier (Rock Crash) |
A custom Fast crash, A Thin Crash
^the hell^ those two choces would break in no time.... go for a Meinl Raker Lightning Crashes, There made for heavey hitting and should have fast decay.... |
I was looking at the "hangtime of throwing a glass bottle against a brick wall." part so I thought something with a quick decay.
|
^^^
for being loud, durable,
that would be what really needed to be considered. try an AAXplosion. its a medium-thin, but provided you have decent technique, you should do fine with it. |
hey, no one knows whats happening to my crash??
|
^ I'm not too sure Groomits. When you get your webcam, post pictures like you said, then I'm sure it will be much easier for us to help you.
|
here's my baby, and we cant see those little marks. its like hairs but when it dont move.
and its not the little white one on the picture. |

 |
wats the sabian version of the mastersound/sound edge hats?
|
the XCelerator hats.
|
comes in AAX and PRO. the PRO's would be the much brighter sounding of the two
|
hey,
im lookin for a thin quick symbol that could put its self up to heavy rock/metal music i was lookin at the sabian aax studio crash but it seems kinda weak for the genre any suggetions? |
the only thing i can think would be those new Paiste Rude Thin Crashes....again however, Thin and Metal/Loud Music just dont mix.
|
hey,

If you remember a while back, I was asking for cheap cymbal recommendations. Well, I can ditch that now, because I just got a sudden boost of cash.
I'm going for a professional series ride, and this time, I want a bright sounding, but elegent crash. Any ideas? |
AA Medium-Thin.
|
I so found a 20 inch Sabian HHX Manhattan ride in my school, then I so stole it
|
Hey guys, I'm looking for crashes or chinas that have a fast clean attack with quick decay, a punchy sound while remaining melodic. I really like the Bozzio Radia line so something like that except more available and better prices.

I'm looking for new hats. My price range 300 or so and less.
They need to be versitile and bright. I generally like 13"s. |

Hi hats.
Quick, precise, acoustic. Not low pitched. Cutting (but then again, why hi hats aren't) but soothing. Smooooth hi hats.. suitable for heavyish rock settings. I don't want zompy hi hats that sound like a plane reversing. |
"I don't want zompy hi hats that sound like a plane reversing."
I have no idea what zompy means, or what a plane sounds like in reverse, but from the other things that you mentioned, id say try the a custom, i think those fit in your other categories pretty well. But your a Ufip guy and i dont know anything about those cymbals so im at a loss to suggest some of those. |
