ive had the same jeans on
for four days now
im gonna go to a disco

Firecracker 02-05-2007 03:16 PM

I've listened to an awful lot of converge recently.
And it's fuccking awesome.
And now I be listening to The Receiving End Of Sirens, and it's pretty good, I have to say, no way as good as Chiodos, though.

Kif 02-05-2007 03:29 PM

But Chiodos suck. Or at least they do now.

Also I love the fact that the reviews has been taken over by Fall Out Boy.

Anywho, I have new Comeback Kid, Lifetime and Bloc Party to listen to.

Firecracker 02-05-2007 03:39 PM

Whatever, Chiodos are amazing and you know it.

MattSharpIsCool 02-05-2007 03:43 PM

Chiodos is terrible.

I dont even know who they are, they're probably amazing.

Firecracker 02-05-2007 03:46 PM

Hah, well, ssh, and listen to 'There's No Penguins In Alaska'

Grohlthegreat 02-05-2007 03:47 PM

anti-flag free trax very punx.

cobert 02-05-2007 04:28 PM

No school tomorrow because its gonna be mad cold.

Eliminator 02-05-2007 04:48 PM

four schools closed today already so mine probably will before tomorrow morning

furnace broke so i went to the library and cihlled and got taco bell and **** today

cobert 02-05-2007 04:53 PM

I didnt even check this morning if school was closed. We had a 2hr delay, and I just didnt want to wake up so I went back to sleep and woke up at noon to find out school was closed anyways.

Permanent Solution 02-05-2007 05:09 PM

Hey guys, I'm working on a song, there's only like 2.5 mins so far and some parts are only like half constructed but I was wondering what you all thought =)

Pazz 02-06-2007 02:47 PM

WTF, school cancelled because it's too cold. That's bullshit.

Eliminator 02-06-2007 02:49 PM

it's been like that the past few days for me.

Pazz 02-06-2007 02:51 PM

Still retarded. It's cold like everyday here and school doesn't get cancelled. Only if there is ice on the roads or like 4 inches of snow.

DepthsOfDreams555 02-06-2007 02:58 PM

Yea me too we had yesterday and today off because of the temp. But we had like a foot of snow last week and we had to go all week.

Pazz 02-06-2007 03:07 PM

How cold is it?

DepthsOfDreams555 02-06-2007 03:13 PM

Well yesterday with the wind chill 15 below. And today its been like 7 below with wind chill.

Pazz 02-06-2007 03:23 PM

Celcius or fahrenheit?

DepthsOfDreams555 02-06-2007 03:25 PM

Fahrenheit.

Pazz 02-06-2007 03:28 PM

We've had colder days then that and still had to go to school.

DepthsOfDreams555 02-06-2007 03:29 PM

Okay haha. I don't decide when we cancel school.

Pazz 02-06-2007 03:30 PM

Americans are wimps.:p

I've walked to school in weather with a -40 wind chill (celcius)

DepthsOfDreams555 02-06-2007 03:33 PM

Celsius sucks first off and second off, congratulations.

Pazz 02-06-2007 03:37 PM

Why so harsh Zach?

And I know Celcius sucks. Kelvin should be the one used, imo.

Eliminator 02-06-2007 03:37 PM

kelvin cline.

Excursions 02-06-2007 05:15 PM

America is so lame because they use fahrenheit just to be different from the rest of the world.

cobert 02-06-2007 05:17 PM

We seriously need to switch to metric everything.

2 hour delay tomorrow, this time because of tons of snow.

Eliminator 02-06-2007 05:20 PM

yeah it's been snowing for hours and hasn't stopped

Excursions 02-06-2007 05:24 PM

LOLOL.

fghtffyrdmns 02-06-2007 06:15 PM

Does anyone have an audio rip of Gym Class Heroes' perfomance of Cupid's Chokehold on TRL? The piano sounded a lot louder than usual and I liked the way it sounded. Thanks if anyone has it.

MattSharpIsCool 02-06-2007 10:19 PM
We seriously need to switch to metric everything.
Metric is for wimps who don't know how to actually measure stuff.

It's miles, not kilometers you assholes.

cobert 02-06-2007 10:22 PM

So i played half a game of 5 person risk today.

I have south america, one guy has africa (border alliance with me), 2 people are fighting over europe (never good for the african player, he has to catch the refugees from the loser), some kid with a big wandering army just took australia. I dont know when were picking it back up and playing again.

MattSharpIsCool 02-06-2007 10:36 PM

Ugh, Australia. The hardly-spoken-of stepchild of Risk.

In all the times I've played that game, I dont think I've ever made a conscious attempt to take Australia. It's a dead end, only one way in or out.

hey, you're not cory! 02-06-2007 10:39 PM

Austrailia helps if you can fortify most of it at the beginning...its when you try to take it later that it ****s you.

I have the most trouble in the Americas.

I wanna play risk with competent people :(

MattSharpIsCool 02-06-2007 10:45 PM

I'm 5-0 in my Risk career. Undefeated bia. Like Rocky fucking Marciano.

Australia is just too easy to conquer and lose again. If someone really wants it, there's really no stopping them from taking it from you.

I've only really made a play for Australia once. I was trying to take Asia, and I had a pretty strong hold in Africa. I came through the Middle East and took all of southern Asia (Afghanistan, India, Siam). I eventually used Australia as a base to take China. Other than that though, I usually just let the other players control it, then I conquer it to win the game.

cobert 02-06-2007 10:45 PM

As soon as somebody takes australia I make it my job to get him out. Have some guy fester there and just placing those 2 extra armies on siam every turn is really a bitch later on.

Heres the situation: Green almost had europe, but didnt want to take iceland (grey held) to relase the big grey army in greenland. The grey army fortified into iceland and then green pulled out of western europe (he had a border with africa betweenthe continents, africas only weak spot being middle east), and now the blue player in africa has to try and protect 3 territories now instead of just the middle east.

I now have to protect brazil too, I dont want grey getting any ideas of fuxin up my continent. Im moving nicely into north america, im kind of waiting to make sure that grey is all the way into europe before I move in. I dont want him changing his mind and having to go through a major war.

hey, you're not cory! 02-06-2007 10:48 PM

See what I mean, the Americas are a sunuvabitch. Its all or nothing over there...over here...whatever.

Yesss, australia is usually the second to last continent, next to asia. As soon as somebody holds asia, nobody else lets them. The only way its possible in our games to take asia is if its the end of the game and you have either 2 strong players left, or one strong player wiping everyone else out.
See what I mean, the Americas are a sunuvabitch. Its all or nothing over there...over here...whatever.
Having a solid hold on one of them though is great.

South America is easy to take and protect, north america is kind of hard to get a hold on, but when you do, you only have those 3 border to keep an eye on.

MattSharpIsCool 02-06-2007 10:53 PM

They're nice to have, but they're hard to hold.

Greenland is a nice pinch spot to fight another player, the only problem being there are three entrances into Canada from Greenland. I usually make a point of taking Greenland, and Iceland if I can, early in the game, then taking North America.

With South America only giving you three bonus armies, I don't usually make it a priority to own. I do try and take Brazil though, since it's a nice backdoor into the eastern hemisphere. Take it, then Africa, move through the Middle East and bam you're looking good.

I seem to always have bad luck with South America, anyways. I dont know what it is, but as soon as I get a foothold, I start rolling 1's and 2's, every single time. God doesn't want me to own South America, I guess.
