Seriously, anyone who is having trouble with Carpal Tunnel should just re-adjust their strap.

It did wonders for me.

AND the hand stretches... I can't stress this enough. You don't want to end your career as a bassist just because you wanted to wear your bass at a certain height, right?

ridethelightning 01-02-2005 01:57 PM

Fuck.. why didnt i buy the jackson CMG bass :( i need that fender GEddy Lee now...

Saitoku 01-02-2005 02:00 PM

Spaceman Spiff 01-02-2005 02:03 PM

ridethelightning 01-02-2005 02:03 PM

Trust me... I never stopped when this happend to me, I just started using my pinky/ring (those two didn't hurt as much) Use whatever finger doesnt hurt until it goes away. It IS NOT carple tunnel!

What kinda bass are you using? Maybe you just need a more comfy strap?

A gripmaster will help strengthen your hand up as well, and prevent CTS. But if you use it too much it will induce CTS. :p Gotta be careful.

Hmmm.... you should get a stool to sit on if you don't have one. When you're on a stool it's the closest you can get to a standing position (for all purposes of playing bass) and still be sitting down.

I'm not sure if that helps.

Jamie 01-02-2005 03:24 PM

Do you think its fair if I change my rep rules to: "whoever directly asks me for rep, gets neg rep" ?

Omega Red 01-02-2005 03:45 PM
Do you think its fair if I change my rep rules to: "whoever directly asks me for rep, gets neg rep" ?
I think that reps should be givin to ppl who truly post to help the boards, and negs should be given to ppl who are being stupid....
