so any takers on helping with what amp i should get? |
Give me the suggestions you've got, i can't be arsed looking back through all the pages
|
What's your budget? What sound are looking for? Anything that you particulary need/don't need in an amp?
If you can answer these questiosn I might be able to help you. |
well. i ahve 700CAD max at the moment for christmas, or i could use that for after christmas, and get something bigger. right now im considering the b212 avatar, if they will ship to canada, but then id need a head. or i can get this yorkville xm200t. which is 2x10 at 200watts, and get a 1x15 yorkville extension later, im not really sure. im open to anything
the amp needs to be atleast 200watts, be able to handle low b's and to be able to range tonal from heavy metal to jazz. |
The B212 sounds like a good idea. But that wouldn't leave much for a head would it? Hmm, I'd say you get the 212, simply because a 2x10 will not handle a low B ver well, then save up for a little longer to get a head. I will always recommend Peavey for budget amps(I myself have one) as they are reliable and **** near indestructible. Used they can be had for a song but one needs to look around then. Carvin is also good as well from what I hear.
In the end I think getting a seperate head and cab is much better than getting a combo to which you can then hook up an extension cab. In a rig you can exchange every single thing seperatly but with a combo it's the whole thing you need to get rid of. I'd say get a head first, save up for a decent cab(again, used is alwys an option). In the end it will be that much more easy. Hope I could help. |
Guys, how good are Interpol? I mean really, they're just, wow :amaze:
|
ok, i have a peavey basic112 now, dont reallly like it, its too small.
im very interested in teh b212, i talked to quatre, hes convinced me not to get the combo. but yea, ill need to get a head, and ill have to save up. any good, cheep heads? there isnt much used here, but ill look around. what good is getting the head first? |

Ok i'm in a predicament: Cort Curbow 4FL of Vintage Bubinga $FL? Vintage is cheaper and is also Bubinga which i love the sound of. But i don't like the look of the pickups on the vintage, but for the cheaper price what can i honestly expect?
